    '97 Toyota Celica Wall Build

Made a hole so I can access the fuel pump if something like, I don't know, a swap happens. Added more steel bracing. Added 45° , bigger on is where the port is. Some rounding up. The port is ready

Can't really tell if it would be easier compared to only wood, but I know one three things for sure. It's going to be lighter, stronger and cheaper this way. Which I am all in for since the plan is have a somewhat lightweight car with a loud system, and later on, when I swap a more powerful engine, the system won't be a draw back. The cage you guys see is removable, right now it's out of the car and I've started cutting the wood.

What can I use as a substitute for MLV?

What's wrong with CCF, looks like a great way to suspend? Thanks for the link, I knew I should have read all of Don's stuff.

What can I use as a substitute for MLV?

So in order to achieve good result, I'll have to add some CCF in between the MLV and the bare body panel??

What can I use as a substitute for MLV?

I am about to start my search, so I wanted to know if something in other fields can work as well.

What can I use as a substitute for MLV?

Some time ago I thought about buying acid lead batteries and getting their lead out. But it's too much work. Hmm, not really positive on the aluminum foil as it's quite lightweight. I am willing to do some work, but I don't think it will pay off. Looking for an alternative for both reasons. Shipping from Don would be expensive. That's a good idea and my first thought, some heavy duty rubber mats, maybe do two layer with overlapping to hide the seal. I have a friend that has a horse barn, will ask him. Too bad you are 6k miles away.

A good skill to have and fun to build stuff. What style of welding are you learning? TIG, MIG, Arc, or just Brazing? MIG

http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/61379-what-can-i-use-as-a-substitute-for-mlv/ Made a thread, basically, what can I use to gain similar effects to MLV( mass loaded vinyl), to block sound?

Father is going to be teaching me to weld tomorrow, then I can start on the wall cage.

I first need to finish my wall, then get coilovers as that much power won't go along with stock suspension on +200 000 kilometers.

I may swap a new engine with a turbo on mine next year. Too bad it's front drive. Non the less, +300hp on the wheels should be fun.

Neither did I. Just seems like a nice convenience but unneeded as hell.J Since when does need pertain to features in what I drive? Very good point. I guess to me a heated wheel is not a selling point.J I bought the car without so it wasn't the opposite. I did want it though. Heated seats and wheel and you hardly need heat in the car even when it is cold out. Way less drying on the eyes.Since I am going to re-upholster my seats, I guess it's a good idea to modify them with a heating option. The opposite sounds good too, cool seats in the summer.
