How can you do that when you don't even own a drill???!!! For the record....all of my pre-drilling as taken place at home...or in Scotty's shop... And not having ANY tools around just flat out sucks....I can't work on my car AT ALL... I feel pretty silly using a Leatherman to screw my speaker connections...

Nick seems to like the idea of lining your box with insulation to give the "bigger box" affect..you could call it cheating....wait.. NICK = CHEATER??? Nawww....

there is no such thing as a "sufficient" amount of screws on a box..I've seen boxes with HUNDREDS of screws.. If it's a relatively smaller box..I'd say every 3-4" would be just fine to secure, nice, TIGHT bond... T-Nuts are always good...don't want that sub fallin' out at all...I think Strong I bumpin can attest to that! PUT IT TOGETHER!! PICS PICS!

You forgot about the 5 yrd old girl in your port..she adds AT LEAST a 1/10 of a db.

I LOVE your drawing..and it is FAR more detailed than ANY of us would have done...but it's NOT really that complicated.... Don't worry about bracing...you won't need to worry about flexing in that install.... Try and get your box size a bit bigger IF possible (1.5 cubes)...or stuff it with a good amount of polyfill Pretty much just find the dimensions for all 6 sides, account for your slanted baffle...and slap that puppy together! 3/4" mdf, some good ol' glue, some good 2" wood screws..and seal that puppy from the inside with silicone and you're good to go! OH YEAH...PRE DRILL your holes

MDF, 3/4", 1.5 cubes...that's about it...

The Car is a 98 (I think) Civic EX, amp was a planet audio 1250D, certified score was only a 133.5 because no one else was competing in his class...but I know of 2 people who saw this score not including Scott..and they both said it did a 150 no problemo...

I agree. I have been quite disapointed in drivers and still been considerably more tactful than that. I always point out the good things first, and follow them up with the bad. I thought his presentation was rude. Particularly from a factory rep. I'm still gonna slap you for that comment :boxin: LOL...I was refering to Jason about the hypocritical comment... GAH....let's just do away with subs! Did I say that?

I wouldn't have ripped into him had he been a bit more TASTEFUL and TACTFUL in his review...
