Guy's are switching because they can get equal or better performance from these Internet subs..and pay half the price... I'd assume the Magnums would enjoy that amount of power a bit more too...They take gobs of power... EDIT: Oh yeah..not a flame...just a suggestion..nobody on this board is allowed to flame...so please don't feel that it was one...

*sigh*..you are in an SI forum..you will most likely get some sort of biased answer. Personally...look how much you'll actually value dual 12's in your car. Are you willing to to spend $600, $900, or $1000 for a pair. Think about theft. Is someone willing to steal a pair of w7's, or a pair of woofers they've never heard of. I think 900+ is LUDICRIOUS to spend on a pair of 12's..The w7 might look sexy..but who cares about looks when the entire basket is covered and the sub sits in the trunk? A pair of XXX's would do just great...they are less efficient, and IMO, not as tight as a Magnum. While I encourage you to do your homework on different products, try to refrain from the "comparison" thread in the future...Instead ask about the pros and cons of an individual product without introducing a competitor to the scenario. You will decrease the bias, and eventually get the REAL answers you want...

    more pics of 502's

502's will weight in near the $1800 mark. They are also completely tailored to your listening preferences, application, and acoustic car environment. You could assume that no 502 set will be 100% alike....I'd call it a $1800 DIY service. Possibly the most elaborate crossover network schemed for a passive 3-way set...I've heard some ideas being tossed around..I'm under contract not to say..but I will say the plans go "overboard"... I'd imagine the 327's will exceed 97% of the comparable competition (in terms of price and performance) if what I hear about the 307's creaming all the focal lines (based on install, however) lays ground for the 327's...

Be careful where you post this stuff next time...this should go in the subwoofer/speaker forum...this area is really dedicated to Stereo Integrity related threads... Looks good though!

    Midrange!

Smart move on the Max Fidelity Tweets...mine come in tomorrow Just play around with the XO's...use some of those FR graphs for guidance..but don't depend on them too much..they don't represent too much in car...

    Midrange!

Well..first off...I'd cross your midbass more around 250ish...and with either of those Vifa's mating with those LPG's...I'd cross at 3-3.5k and let the tweets pick up the rest. Do a search on ECA for the LPG tweets...I believe a lot of people are crossing them at 3.5k. What midbass are you using?

what should i tune my box to?

Tune just below your car's resonant frequency...I would advise you to pick up a couple of Aeroports from PartsExpress and design an adjustable ported box. Start with a low tune (35-40) and work your way up...Use a Mic (reliable one) to record your peak frequency by playing all sorts of different tones near 35-45. Cut the port down a bit to increase tuning frequency and continue until you find your peak frequency..
