Well there are other things in the works, and the Icon is going through testing because it has had a long life in its current form. I was pondering keeping the current form of the Icon going as so many people love it as it is, and offer an higher power handling version (what is seen here). But Mark and I have not finalized anything yet. Wouldn't be a bad idea. Maybe follow the model that DC sound lab did with the lvl 4 and lvl4 XL Dang thats as bad as the question "Do these pants make my butt look big?"

If you wife is the head of the company they can't discriminate because of conflict of interest. Also go through the process of becoming a Disadvantaged business person (disadvantaged small business, Disadvantaged business veteran, and or disadvantaged business woman) which will get you 5% to 15% bid margin over you competitor for state contracts. Research each of those before you give up.

What is the easiest way to find out what stock is available. DBr's web site isn't always up to date. I live on the west coast so by the time I get home a simple phone call won't work. I am interested in either a b stock or a refurbished from dbr. It's my understanding that all referbished items are routed through Jacob and then to dbr. So is it possible to earmark an amp to be sent to dbr?

If moma is happy everybody is HAPPY. My front stage amp is on the way. And I'm seriously considering getting a 125.2 as a back up to run to one when I need too.
-
OOPS amp in question is an SAX 125.2 to run bridged on one SA-8.

Are you taking mom to the strip too?

Granted there are 2 types of consumption even in comp there are definite demarcations to power limits. With the introduction of 3k, 4.5k, 10k and strap-able options where does a person draw the line which is akin to Jumping the Shark?

Battery terminals?
Soapbox replied to Dpaw37's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I like either of these for battery terminals. xscorpian Kicker has a nice dual 0 gauge ground block. -
How about showing us that new crimper you got

In one of my intro threads I remarked it was like an old addiction. Seems as of late well for over 13 years I've mended my ways and laid down my desires for my family. What started as just a small system has resurrected the monster. I have a few goals intended for this system they are: 1. Create a clean install which is removable with minimum effort. After all this is our family car. 2. Target db level 145 3. Modular design to accept several boxes and yet remain SANITARY in installation. 4. Kid proof Covers to prevent kids from dropping stuff in ports (one reason the passive radiator is one of the designs) 5. Design for double the electrical draw. On hand purchased items: 1. Honda Fit 2. 2 Optima Yellow top Batteries (one in the engine bay, one below box. 3. 40ft of Knu Flex 0 gauge cable a. I've made all of the cables just need to install b. 3 ground straps * 2 body , 1 engine c. Positive 2 cables * Alt to Battery, Battery to 180 amp fuse knu koncepz the nice one d. note on all the lugs I used the normal boot but then also heat shrink 4. XScorpion 3 way lug terminals 5. Kicker dual ground luge for rear of car. 6. Sundown SAZ 1500 7. 3 8" Sundown SA-8's Dual 2 (actual is 1.63 approx for a final ohm load of 1.08) 8. One box made for 2 8's in case I want to run @ .5 * 2 cubic ft slot ported to 33 * this box is finished needs speaker hole cut and subs to arrive. * finished is textured satin black. * all inside corners 1/2 round 9 Second box for 3 SA 8's *3 cubic ft dual slot ports tuned to 40 *Box needs closed and subs * Dimensions for modular set. 10 Third box (Not Completed) *3 cubes truncated prism 3 SA 8's and a 15" PR 11 Forth Box Designed completed * T-line for 2 8's 12 Fifth box 3 cubes tuned to 30 hz Kerfed port Design completed Items needed to complete install. Subs paid for just not here Install big 3 Install processor and run RCA's Order nice RCA's Sound Deadener most likely SDS tiles and foam. This car has horrible road noise currently. At this point I will evaluate the front stage most likely I will finish it out with Sundown and Jl audio. An overview of design concept is as follows. In the Fit the back seat leans back from vertical approx 8-10" the wife agreed I could have from the back of the seat vertically 11". Therefore, most of the designs are narrow boxes which are 35- 36 inches in length. average depth is 16". The amp rack will support the boxes which will be drop in style and secured down with tie straps NOT okie joe duct tape they will be secure and undetectable as removable. This should give me a triangle in front of the box 10 x 16 to lay a battery or 2 on their sides and mount the amp. The seats fold down for access and there are tie down luggs factory in the same area. Well that's it in concept. Any comments or pointers are appreciated. Soapbox Processor: either Audio control LC6i or 3sixty (I'm trying to cut corners here and find an e-bay steel)

I've been in the holding pattern for some time now. Progress has been SLOW. Anyway. All 3 of the boxes I've made sound good; however, I don't like how much real estate they've taken up. With the t-line and the kerfed port I didn't end up with any room for the amps or batteries. A word for the wise. Draw out available space and them portion out sections for equipment. Seems I got caught in using all of my energy on box design and not total system design. Anyway since the 8's have been around for a while optimum size has show it's self to be .6 cu for each sub. Off the top of my head the newest box is 18.25 x 17.75 x 14.5 deep subs facing up in a triangle pattern with one 4" aero port running under the single sub. This box is turning out perfect in assembly no leaks just using glue and screws. Finally got the wire ran from alt to battery. This single wire took over 3 hrs to access and install what a bugger. Only one run left to complete the big three from the battery to the back of car. While I have several sets of speakers on hand for the components and coaxial I'm not sure which ones I'll use. Available speakers are: 6pcs. 3.5" Still water designs Mohawk series full range 5 1/4 Zapco coaxial set 6.5 Still water designs Mohawk series mid-bass set 6.5 fusion components set Not available but considering is crescendo audio ccx6 I'm taking recommendations if offered please. I haven't been able to totally finish the install because there has been always a critical piece missing. Currently is the SAX 100.4. Looks like this order because of a typo Using the audio control LC6i means it's all or nothing. It's wired to a new plug which directly plugs into the factory unit leaving oem wiring in place and running new system wires. NO t-taps here. Since I'm still stuck in the mud I'm also considering the Sound deadning but this will set me back another month!
