Hi I want to get 2 12" XCON G2s when I come back from my trip. Vehicle Make and Model: 2008 BMW 328i Sedan Direct of Box/Subs: Subs facing the same way as the port Sealed or Ported: Ported Number of Subs: 2 Brand and Model of Subs: SSA XCON 12 Max Dimensions: (Not sure yet here, Idk the cubic feet of my trunk, but even after the box I would love to have at least 15% available, but it may vary I understand) Port Color: Black Flush Mount Ring Color (if flush mount is chosen): What exactly is this? (native spanish speaker here) Carpet Color: Dark Gray (Like the one in the DCON enclosure picture on the argent website) Zip Code for Shipping Quote: 33160 Now Idk if its better to have the port in between the two subs or on a side. Also, idk how big the box should be. I dont want to completely take the whole trunk space, but I understand 2 12s will require a decently big enclosure for optimal performance. Lastly, do you recommend double baffle for 2 12s? (amp is sundown 2000d for now, will be a 3500d in the future) Whats exactly is Wooden Dowel Bracing? And do you guys use 45 angled corners? What about ports with curved end (like the dcon enclosure) Thanks

The Do's and Dont's in a competition
slim142 posted a topic in Competitions & Other Organized SPL/SQ Events
Well I got this idea from a guy who recently posted in the forums. Since I never been a competitor, I would like to be informed on what are the do's and dont's in competitions. Things like charging up the batteries, not use the subs the same day of the competition etc. Hopefully this will be useful for some of us who have never competed! How do YOU guys prepare? -
Whoever is looking for 2 18"s is really lucky! Someone grab this already!!!

$13x is too high IMO. I always blast and have never blew my sub. I thought $100 would have been good for those desperate noobs in the first run.

2 tweets and 2 midranges should be more than enough. 3 if you wanna look cool and awesome. Some 8" midbass on the doors and some subs and you are ready to go. For amps, sundown or ZED. But seems like you love overkill so i honestly dont know what to tell. -
THIS^ As long as we keep it clear that this subwoofer is not designed to break any spl world record and is not as good as it might look, then we are all happy campers.
-
I wanna hear that system sooooo bad!!!! So much space saved, but I wanna know hows the subs sound
-
i been waiting for xcons for so long hopefully by the time im back from my trip (early august) they will be back in stock I really dont think i will be able to wait any longer than that

Bring that house to FL!!! I want a house that can get low -
Ok First of all, I hate this because it has to happen when I will be going out of town for 2 months so its pointless to get equipment for me right now. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR On the other side, I wanted to ask, the RA is pretty much a crossover that goes between the receiver and the amp. Am I correct?

Have you ever seen that done with rear seats NOT folded down? I definitely wanna be able to do hair tricks, but bmw seals the trunk pretty good. I doubt that much air will be able to get to the cabin. My pioneer does a good job to shake the car, mirror shakes pretty good. So I have high hopes when I get 2 12 xcons

Guess what I just got????

I cant wait for AMD to release the Bulldozer architecture-based CPUs, those are going to be (supposedly) the real competitors of sandy bridge (core i7 2xxx series). And is true, AMD is the best bang for the buck if you are on a budget. If you are a gamer, and you have $400 to spend on a video card, then I dont see why should you bother with anything but Intels high-end (1155 k-series and 1366 socket based cpus) On a site note, I was going watercooling, but wanted to make it so fancy I just stopped when I realized it was gonna cost me $1000 lol -
Glad to hear they got there safe! It was a pleasure to deal with you. Thanks for the feedback
-
I heard that 2 15"s is the minimum needed. Of course, a lot of factors involved here, type of vehicle, wattage etc so it varies. I think you have higher chances of hair tricks if you tune in the 40s. Someone correct me if Im wrong tho.

With a jigsaw it might hurt too much. Try a machete

Wow I still think it was pretty interesting how you blew your tweeters before your mids haha. Oh well, there goes a few hundred dollars.
