Single DIN has not seen a worthy unit in some time already. Either go Double DIN and make it worth it with the extra features or look for an older single din one. I sold my P800-PRS because I didnt even use half of the features in it. -

I think this is a great thread. Just so that every member can have a clear idea of where the company stands right now. I hope it doesnt get locked. Lets keep dramas out of this thread please.

I had nothing against DC until now. I just cant deal with the fact that they have been dealing with this guy for 3 years. As a company, that shouldnt have been tolerated and should have been taken care of within a reasonable amount of time. 3 years is not reasonable. On top of that, this is not the first time. Every now and then I see people asking about their order status or something else and they take weeks to answers and sometimes they just wont bother. I ask other companies in this forum about a personal issue or concern I have when I didnt even buy their products and the latest I get an answer is within a week. I dont think I want to risk my money on a company where I could end up been the next guy who they get to keep his money for 3 years. About the satisfied customers, I understand that point of view and I dont need to see the list. I just wonder why is it that there are SO MANY unsatisfied ones.
-
Im sorry, I should have been more specific. What I meant is that, as a forum, I doubt you guys want to "host" (in the forum) companies that cant keep up with customer satisfaction or do business the right way. At least thats how I see it.
-
I would have lost my mind by now. Really sorry to hear that tho. I know most companies in here (Fi, SSA, AA, Sundown) would have never done that to you. This is a moment in which I wonder what would the mod/admins of this forum do about situations like this. I must say this is NOT the first time I hear that people cant get in contact with DC. Knowing how an alternator for my car would cost over $500, I would think twice before making that first step after finding about this.
-
After reading this, I think I will stay away from DC. To today, I cannot believe it took a whole year for this guy. I would have been really pissed. And still no money back... wow...

If you get rid of these, I guarantee you will lose weight Soda Candy / chocolate / cookies / ice cream High sugar food/drinks Fast foods Also, run for 30 mins 3 times in the gym. Use the stairs instead of elevators (if its 2-3 floors thats good enough). Eat healthy. Fish recommended. No skins. Lots of vegetables. Do P90X and that will help a lot, or maybe start with P90 Hope this helps I used to weight 203, that was my highest weight. Im now on 165. Went from XL shirts to M. From 38 to 34 shorts/pants. Im 5 10 btw.

Thanks I wanted to illustrate it rather than write a whole paragraph lol First time I will use all 4 connections on an amp too, Im used to do all the connections inside the enclosure hahaha

I have 2 Kickers Dual voice coil 2ohm coming tomorrow. I see the diagram in 12volt on how to connect them at 2ohm. However, the box they are going in has separate chambers. So how do I connect the subwoofers to each other? whats the solution to this? http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=22#results

So this is how you guys are telling me to do it right? http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa298/maleado/Untitled-3.png And the box is 1.67cubic ft per chamber, tuned to 33hz and it fits perfectly on my BMW. Purchased from crutchfield and has awesome reviews so Im expecting it to perform great

So yesterday I was coming back from college and on the way I was blasting my music like everyday. 10 mins before I got home, I noticed there was no lows No burning smell at all. Which was weird... Today I checked and the subwoofer is not playing. I checked the speaker wire connections, nothing out of place. So I decided to use my DMM and read the coils, since I pushed the cone and it does not look or feel blown at all. I used my DMM and both coils give me no reading. 0.L on the DMM. I checked the coils and nothing seems burned, broken, out of place or moved. I have no idea what could have happened to the sub. Any ideas?
-
Ok guys, I hope this diagram helps. This is how I so far plan on install everything. I would connect both subs from the outside of the enclosure using speaker wire and then to the amp. http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa298/maleado/Untitled-2.png Let me know if this would work! And if this is fine and no problems at all.

Alternator and Battery question
slim142 posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Ok so I understand that if you dont want to deal with upgrading your alternator, you put more reserve of power (aka batteries). However, I understand that if your voltmeter tells you that voltage is below ~12v, then you are running into problems. I have a question regarding this. Let say I play my music and I see voltmeter says 11.9v but I already have my main battery upgraded, and an extra battery. At that point of having 2 batteries, will my problem be easily fixed with ANOTHER (a third) battery or would I have to get an H/O alternator? Reason Im asking is because a group 31 is ~$300, and an alternator for most cars is also around that price. However, I have a BMW and got a quote from DC that an alternator is ~$600-700. I want to know whats the best way to solve my problem (in the future) once I get my 3500D installed and use with 2 XCONS at 1ohm (3500watts). Also, a completely out of place question. Will it be ok if I run 2 15s in my BMW trunk? (2008 328i Sedan). I dont care if it takes up all the trunk. However, I do NOT want a wall. I also do not want to run two 15s in a small enclosure that will put them in danger of failure. Thanks -
Yes, that is next up, along with something else I am not releasing anything on until it is ready to roll. Sweet. Any hints? Lol My guesses: Home theater sub SPL only sub 8" sub surprise Components

Alternator and Battery question
slim142 replied to slim142's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I will double check where my alt is in my bimmer. I remember I was able to see it easily, but everything in the 3-series are packed (close) together. Idk if thats how BMW does in their other series too. Hopefully is not hard to reach it. -
Alternator and Battery question

Is it hard when it comes to ins/uninstalling alternators? I have no idea where to even start. I honestly dont have anyone I trust that much to touch my bimmers alt. -

Alternator and Battery question
slim142 replied to slim142's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Thanks I guess the decision will definitely have to be based off from the readings I get on the voltmeter to see how much power the subs are using and if they need more. I just wanted to have get some opinions about this situation. -
Alternator and Battery question
slim142 replied to slim142's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
So rather than buying a battery to replace my factory, a 2nd battery and a charger. Just spend the money on a good (maybe 300amp) alternator? Keep the factory battery too?
