I would say the Audioque Or if you can find a good deal on a Sundown 1000, 1200 or 1500 it would be even better

I was going to get the iD XS-65 But at this price, the Bravox are worth a try!
-
I know Big 3 and 0 gauge are a must. Dont know about HO alt and aftermarket battery. Most likely an aftermarket WILL BE necessary since its a sedan.

The leviathan is still been produced right? Is not like that Boss Audio that is getting extinct?

Those are sexy pics! A video of these in action would be great!

Now that Im watching Diablos video, I also noticed the woofers did not come in a plastic bag like his did. Mark, I have sent you a PM so we keep this thread on topic. How frustrating the fact that it looks like this weekend I wont be able to enjoy new speakers
-
That is odd. Sounds like they might have been opened at Bravox, but were not used. They are supposed to shipping out only NIB items. Maybe because these don't sound used, just opened, they might have considered them still new. Do you need the spacer rings for your install? Im not sure (First time Im going to be installing components) They are replacing factory speakers on my front doors. I will be using Scoshe 6x8 to 6.5 speaker adapters to make the woofer fit in the factory hole. Will I need the spacer? Also, you know, if you were to open a Bravox box right now, you have to first unlock the two little pieces that secure the first cover of the box. Well, one of those two is gone and the other piece is about to fall off. 1,2 and 3 really REALLY annoyed me. These were definitely opened before. Now, Im not as enthusiastic as I was when I ordered them. Kinda shows me that there is some lack of quality control from Bravox. We will see if by hearing them I somehow disregard about what just happened, expecting them to at least work like they should. But this will be something I will keep in mind before pulling the trigger on another Bravox set.

Hey guys I have a concern regarding my Bravox speakers that just arrived. First of all I want to say that they look gret and everything, however, there are some thing I want to mention. 1) The woofer spacers (those 6.5 black rings) that came with my speakers are completely different from each other. 2) The woofers came really dusty on the magnet side. 3) Besides the 2 rolls of speaker cable, an extra 5inch speaker cable was also included? But this one seems used, not from Bravox as it doesnt look manufacturer made. 4) There were 8 extra gold crossover screws (the ones that have a spacer in the middle) and to my surprise, they arrived all around the box and some were magnetized to the woofer magnet. They werent in the bag like the other screws. 5) One tweeter had the speaker cable intact (flat, not peeled), but the other one was peeled, it didnt look used at all, but is weird to see one peeled already and the other not. Whats going on here?

Let me say that for $105 the CX60CF look really attractive for rear fill. Specially for me since I will be running factory speakers there. Is tempting! But gotta save up to upgrade my subwoofer section

Few questions about speakers........
slim142 replied to cheese20323's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Bravox I was originally gonna go for iD, but then realized how overpriced they are and heard a few rumors that would make this off topic so anyways With the huge group sale, you are getting good quality speakers for a nice price. I got their CS60CF for $225, when originally they are $460, I think it was worth buying them to give their best 2-way set a try Getting them tomorrow, cant wait -
I thought it was the reventon for a moment. I like this one even more now
-
Just those 2 sentences were enough to make me want to call UPS and deliver my stuff right now! my speakers wont get here until monday, my 6x8 to 6.5 speaker adapters come here on tuesday, but I wont have time until wednesday afternoon to install it (and this is if I get some free time, I might end up installing them friday). :suicide-santa: :suicide-santa:

LMAO I knew something was "wrong" haha

I would also proudly put an Fi sticker on the car, but dam thats one big sticker lol
-
Actually Impious brought that up a little while ago. So is it?
-
I got a question what is the regular (non-group) price of the leviathan?
-
I like where this setup is going. +1 for the Bravox. Think about it, there IS a reason why SSA is offering them.
-
Would those 8"s be a good choice for midbass on doors?
-
Well it looks like I'll be going with the leviathan too! but not now, in the future when I can afford 2 pairs of Bravox CS63CF Definitely getting SAX-125.2 for the 8" mids Thanks for the answer
-
You know what, actually I have decided something better now. This will be way in the future tho. Since I already have the Bravox, that should be more than enough for the mids/highs for now. What I should prob do now is save up, and reinforce my bass. Save up for an XCON or SMD and the box since thats going to cost a lot of money (will have to upgrade alt, hood batt and prob an extra one in the back). Im thinking I should prob get the leviathan. The price is pretty good, but still more than what I paid for my 2000D lol, if I do get it I would end up broke tho hahaha. For how much longer are you planning on keeping those prices for the zed?
-
Great to hear But like I said, Im happy since I dont have to modify my doors for now And that arises a question, would it be a good idea to get a pair of CS50CF and use them as midranges? Im thinking CS60CF for mids/highs. CS50CF specifically for midrange, and 8" subs on doors for midbass. How does my plan sound?
