Should be the same as I mentioned above because I don't think we have had any orders since. Hmmm For a moment I thought the last 10 were gonna fly.

Hey denim any news about the amp?
-
I know at least for the 2006 model people claimed they were getting between 4-5k but you know how reliable that knowledge is lol. I would think at least 4k though, it's rated 3600 w @ 12v so it should be a little higher. Edit: Also Mark said 4500 rms on 12v and up to 8k on 16v, a lot of power basically lol Yeah thats what keeps me from getting a good reliable average number. 3600 @ 12v Mark says 4500, there is almost 1k difference there. So if someone could verify this for me, it would be great. Also, why under rate your amp SOOOO much if it can do much, much more than that? I understand maybe one or two hundreds

I see Well as far as I can tell, the regular ML 350 has no custom dash. Seems like a simple remove factory, put aftermarket radio. Compared to let say, the 2011 equinox or the later caddy SRX's dash that have custom screens and special shape dashes which seem pretty complicated to modify. -
Title says it all Im looking for something that is a crossover. To give you an idea, I was looking to get the Saturn Vue 2nd generation (which means 2008 or later) I was really just a few steps from buying it. Its a nice looking car and the fact that is american and no fancy dash makes it easy for me to put my audio stuff. But then this thought of Saturn cars been discontinued kept going around me. I dont know how this will affect me in the future. So then started looking around and found what I consider IMO one of the best looking crossovers ever. The Mercedez ML 350. That car is just beautiful. Now, with this one I dont know if its worth the trouble I might have when it comes to replacing the stock with new audio components. I contacted Mechman alternators and he told me Im most likely going to be stuck with that stock alternator. Most likely wont be able to put more than one and might not even be worth replacing the stock one since it might be water cooled. Now I didnt even know alternators could be water cooled lol. So now Im stuck here debating whether the luxury is worth a stock alternator. I have checked other choices from other companies but nothing convinces me. Either the car is too big or factory radio its on a fancy dash. Any ideas and comments are greatly welcome! And before I forget, the stuff that Im planning for that car is (2) AA SMD 18"s, (2) Sundown 4500Ds, 0/2 gauge for Big 3, power and ground, AA Carbons for mids, Morel tweets, XS batteries (hood and prob 2 extra ones on the back), Pioneer DEH-P800PRS for HU, and enclosure tuned to 30hz (rectangular shape)

Im not sticking to "08", that was only when I was interested in the Vue (cause 2008 and later were the 2nd generations and I didnt want the 1st generations). But for now, Im looking at ML 350s from 06 and later. Ill take a look into the range rovers. And dont worry, idk why but the jeep just doesnt call my attention lol -

I looked into the Cherokee and I find it a bit big for my needs. About the AMG series from Mercedez, they are out of reach for me. -
I have a question, please be as simple as possible so XCON was and will remain as SQ sub, ZCON is been designed for SPL? Maybe Im pushing the ZCON too much into the opposite side of the spectrum, should I say loud SQ?

You are right I dont know how that thought completely slipped through out of my mind. I guess Im really into car audio these days? LoL The mercedez is a great car and I honestly cant find something else that gives me that WOW impression. Previous cars I liked were the Pacifica, SRX, Cayenne, Equinox, Traverse, RX330, Acadia, Edge but nothing like the ML 350. hey, i bought a CRX haha so im being a hypocrite. Trust me, I would buy a 2-door or regular sedan But I need space for the monsters that I will be putting in But I also want to have my backseats available you know? -
I have a Z-5500 paired with an Auzentech Prelude X-Fi 7.1 Im more than pleased with this setup. Wont be upgrading my speakers in a long time. Sound card, prob when I build my next PC.

yeah AFAIK thats the "crossover" for the tweet.

Few questions Are they really 7 inches? or just 6.5? Also, whats a good crossover point for them? Will they play good down to 80hz and up to 3500Hz? For the ones who have experienced them, how is the midbass response on them? Clear and loud? Do they hit good enough for their size?

Cool Story, Bro! LoL! Jk, I read everything Its cool how when you went to pay was your lucky day but it all went south a few hours later lol. But that IS a good excuse to have tinted windows. Show your monster audio system. Will keep that in mind! -
Yep, if there is anything Im not worried about is SSA quality of service And yes, I got Knukonceptz 8gauge OFC kit. Glad they have at least ONE 8gauge product and even more glad is not CCA.

So after installing my Cs60CF, I could not believe how bad the woofers sound It sounds as if they were distorting, and thats with all EQs off, no bass boost or anything. So I talked to denim and we concluded it could be the doors. They are not deadened. I just replaced factory speakers and place the new ones (i know, i know, but i didnt think it was gonna sound this bad). So I came to the conclusion that to enjoy my midbass and not have to lower the 125hz band to -3, I need to (just learned this) seal the doors. Seriously, my midbass is dead cause I cant rise the volume or else the woofers will start to sound nasty, kinda distorted. Even with EQ on flat. I always have to lower 125hz to -3 to raise the volume. Now, I thought about Second Skin Audio, but I just found out about another brand which seems to be really popular among the users in this forum, a brand called SDS. Now, I have absolutely no knowledge about sound deadeners, the materials, brand/models etc So, with that said, I know some of you are going to give me links to start reading (probably), but while I do some reading, I want to get recommendations on what I should do. I have a Ford Expedition 2007. I think Im better off taking pictures of the doors rather than describing what they have (they have some kind of foam which I believe is used to protect from water, not sure) So first thing, what brand/model should I be looking into for my doors? How much should I buy? I just want to cover the holes. Not really looking to spend hundreds deadening the car as I do not know yet if I will be keeping my audio stuff in it. All input is welcomed!

Bump for a killer price on a great 3-way component set.

Yes., once these are gone, POOF. There is 4 more of a different and smaller 4 channel, but not going to do those until after the REV-665's are gone. << So people don't ask/PM/Email me about them until these are done!!!! Glad I got mine and I do hope its on the way by now. Its really hot here in Miami and to save on gas I like to keep windows down, but without an amp music gets lost I NEED THAT AMP Will think about a second one if everything goes as planned

Crap! I forgot about that! Yeah getting 8 ohm drivers will help, but I dont think AA Carbons come in 8 ohm, only 4 I believe. Which puts me back in the same place. Yes it does, but its only 12db slope. I believe Leviathans and Sundows have 24dbs slopes. Which would make speakers sound different from each other and I dont think I want that. And I rather have the amp do the whole work. I'm assuming he wants to get crazy loud. At first my goal was to achieve something like what the guy from the tahoe has. However, I realized it would come out too expensive and I didnt really need 4 mid drivers on each door. Then in this forum I found out I wouldnt need 8" drivers for midbass. That the carbons were so good, they could be crossed all the way down to 50hz and still play good with plenty of power. So money, value and performance changed my original plan from 4 mids, one 8" and 4 tweets on each front door to just 3 mids and 2 tweets on each door. And no more tweets on the rear doors since I want to keep it front stage, but midbass I think would be alright. Nick has his carbons crossed at 50, but I think thats a bit too low, I plan on keeping mines at 63Hz and up to 2800hz. 63hz and below on the sub and 2800hz and higher on tweets. Only 1" and 6.5" drivers for mids and highs. 18" subs will come later.
