Hi Just got a BMW 328i 2008 Sedan and I would like to swap the factory battery with an XS power one. I do NOT want to modify anything in the car, just swap batteries and put a new one. No modifications to the car at all. Let me know whats the BEST XS battery that will fit under the hood of my 328i. Thanks!

For now, its all about my 2000D. Later on when the 3500D comes, I should be with an XS batt in the factory location already and will prob add a D3100 to be safe. -
autozone wont tell me neither will BMW website lol I tried looking for the battery and no luck. Ive been told its on the right side of the trunk so will double check this time. Cant wait to put an XS Power

I see Was asking cause I think I saw long time ago (back when I was a real noob) that it couldnt be longer than 12 inches lol Ok so I think Im ready to order. Thanks a lot guys! 8Ft of Blue Kolossus, 5ft of Black Kolossus, the FH-20 in-line fuse holder with 300amp fuse and 4 ring terminals. $76 plus shipping. Better than the kit and Im a few bucks -

One last question Is there any rule for how long the ground should be? -

No, but thats something thats going to be upgraded really soon. -

Also, should I bother buying the kit? or should I just buy a couple of ft for power and ground? Since my battery is in the trunk, it looks like I wont need 18ft of power cable. -

I see, so the fuse rating on the amp has nothing to do with the fuse to use in the power cable? So I think I should go straight up for 0 gauge kolossus kit OFC with 300amp fuse right? If so, I will be ordering tomorrow morning. If everything is right, this will work fine with my 2000D + Pioneer 12 until I can upgrade my amp and sub. -

I mean, the 4500D is just a thought. Maybe in the future (talking prob a year from now) it might become part of the plan, but just want to know how future-proof I will be by going 0 gauge. So it looks like the Knu is the best option for now. Also, forgot to ask, I will be running my 2000D in 2ohm (1000watts) for now. Should I stick to 100amp fuse that I been using in my previous vehicle? The sub and amp worked great with 100amp fuse. Fuses are for the wire, not the amp usually. I would put a 300 amp fuse on it, that's just me. I dont understand The 2000D says the following "Fuse rating 200A (external type fuse)" Doesnt that mean I should use a 200A fuse? And should I still get a 200A even though I will be running it in 2ohm (1000watts only) mode for now? -

Problem is I want the ZCON but I like more the dustcap on the XCON Not a fan of the little caps LOL
-
Yes, 12"/15"/18" Let see denim I want to know if I got this right. XCON is FULL SQ while the ZCON will move towards SPL (just a bit) in the SQ________SPL spectrum. Am I right? SQ_______________________________SPL XCON___________ZCON______________BTL Just want to know I have my thoughts right
-
What was you thinking this was? I laughed tho
-
I have a question Will the ZCON come out in 12" too? Since my plans have changed, I think I will be getting 2 SSA subs paired on a 4500D. First thought was XCONS but then thought about the ZCON and it might be a better choice depending on release date, models and purpose.

State of Hawaii trying to ban ALL aftermarket systems
slim142 replied to theabunai's topic in General Audio
Glad to hear it was dropped! This made me really happy as I would not have tolerated BS like this! Florida is also a loud state, and no doubt it would have taken this measurements if this stupid bill would have passed. Glad I sent my opposing message and that it helped! -
But the components crossover just divides the signal, below 3500 to woofer and above 3500 to tweeter. I dont think the components crossover has a high pass filter built in it. I dont think you wanna send a 40hz signal and risk blowing it

I think he means this http://cgi.ebay.com/Zed-made-Boss-Audio-Systems-Havoc-REV-665-new-box-/220734505367?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item3364cd4197#ht_500wt_1156 Cory? (confused) I doubt is the cory we know tho

Is the sundow 3000d a good amp choice for a btl18?
slim142 replied to Casey_920's topic in Sundown Audio
This Even though the BTL can handle huge amounts of power in the long run, it will take a few mins for it to blow if you cant handle the excitement on your fingers with the volume/gain knob. EDIT: Do you also have the basic electrical upgrades? Big 3 and 0 gauge for power and ground? -
Mario Kart Wii Owners!!!

I have a red Wii with Mario Kart but never play it. Bought so many games in december still finishing up DKCR lol -
Ok so Im debating and I cant decide. Whether Xs or DCONs, each sub will be Single 4ohm so I can pair both and get a final load of 2 ohm (= 1000watts from my Sundown 2000D) Yes, this will be an ~8 month temporary setup while in the meantime I upgrade the electricals on a soon-to-be new car that I will be getting etc. Since my final setup will consist of 2 18s, it will take some time to have the car "ready" and honestly, my single 12 is not cutting it for now. Specially when I just upgraded my front stage with a Boss Rev. 665 amp. The bass can barely be felt. I dont know what are the advantages of going for the Fi X or the DCONs. All I can see is that the X have 2mm more of xmax but are 250rms while dcons are 300rms and 16mm xmax. Also, DCON is an SQ while Im not sure if the X is as well or in between SQ and SPL. Any help is appreciated.

Any thoughts? Btw my goal is to be loud, but keep quality. 90% I wont be using this for competition or anything like that. Just daily hard pounder.
-
Interesting, didnt check the 187 But xmax is pretty low (13mm) I think Ill stick to Fi or SSA which are the most Ive heard from. The feedback from the DCON is amazing, everybody seems to be really happy. On the other side, with the Fi I get 15 inches of glory x2
