ok ok enough arguing its gotten way to deep in here. the sundowns better hands down, dd make quality products for sure. but dd 1200 isnt that underrate if at all and will not outdue an saz1500 which for a fact does more than rated..... damn how hard was that? i answered my own question

so im pumping gas today and the guy at the pump ahead of me seen my sub thru my windshield and ask'd if its the old power hx2. i said ya and he started talking bout he used to have a pair then he ask'd what i was runnin it with and i pointed thru my hatch n said a sundown saz1500. he said no shit?and im the first here in oklahoma other then himself that hes talked to who has any clue what sundown is. and then he says he will be working for sundown audio this summer and i think he said his name is hitman or sumthin....asian guy in his early 20's....is this guy for real or just talkin out his ass

old school, all metal for sure my last car was a 76 caprice. The trunk rattled so bad i could hear it over the bass from my treo 15's even with the backseat out. if ur product could help that car id be impressed i didnt use real deadiner cuz i was jobless at the time but several cans of expand. foam and a few layers of of the factory deadiner they use these days(freebie). plus everything else rattled and it was annoying but i mounted my box in the place of my back seat so the bass would be right there loud enough to dround out everything else

im serious ohjay....i live in okc n been runnin my saz1500 for bout a yr and have only physically met 2 ppl that have a clue what sundown is. i bought 2 of them that were fried for $150 from the owner of midwest pawn and car audio and he had no clue what sundown was. which worked in my favor cause i sold one for what i paid for both and basically got mine for the $120 rebuild price

I'm dealing with the same thing. im running a eclipse cd-1000 h/u w/ an oldschool pioneer eq-6500 used for the crossover for the sub since the h/u has no sub pre-outs. im running an saz1500 on a 15" fosgate power hx2 with a blown coil so its only able to run at 2ohm. but i think its the h/u clipping cause even with the sub level halfway it like distorts or muffles like op mentioned. and the h/u volume is 30-35 when this happens with loud on and bass at -6. but i can crank the sub level up with bass at -6 and loud on and flex my doors and hatch as long as the h/u volume is at 29 or lower. and this is with it in a sealed box which is way too small plus the sub isnt supposed be sealed

wuts the reason u cant build ur own box? theres a few guys on here that will hook u up with a design based on ur max dimensions of space and preferred tuning. its alot cheaper and better then gettin a shop to build it or using a prefab sealed box box. also you will be putting a big dent in the output. ive got a single 15 it was in a ported box tuned to 33hz then i got a new car and wasnt enough room for it while still making use of my back seat. so i went sealed and its 1/2 as loud as ported.

head unit first cause thats ur music source. then the sub, dc over audioque but if ur wantin 12's i'd take a look at the skar audio 12's on here. there damn good subs and cheaper then audioque. and from wut i've read they are underrated when it comes to rms rating. and wut r ur reasons for only wantin sdc2.5's or the level lvl 3's? atleast save a lil more cash n get dc xl's or sumthin that can take some real power

i think that would be an awesome vehicle for a major build, but i agree with everyone else ditch the I.B. setup and get some real subs that can get real low n a good built box. make it tuned to your rediculously low choice of tunage and then make a port plug to slip in there to tune it to a normal tuning that will sound good for daily. BTW have you had a "real" setup other then these I.B. setupS?

thumper, may i ask wut u mean about class d amps not havin it down low? and to the OP, like bassahaulic said you've been told for so long ur goin about it the wrong way and been givin ALLOT of advice and chose to go ur way, especially in ur home build. so ur finally wanting help cuz ur way didnt work like u expected, y didnt u just research a little and take the advice and get it right the first time? also if its a daily beater tune a lil higher.......btw im not tryin to be or sound like a dick

ok so i am currently running an eclipse cd1000 head unit. it says in the owners manual and on the face that it plays mp3 cds. i'm using roxio 2011 to burn with. ok so i burnt a couple mp3 cd's and the head unit tries to read it but ends up ejecting it, and then after getting next to nothing searching google i read sumthin saying burn it as a data disk so i did that and it still does the same thing. i've never had any experience with an eclipse deck until this one, so if anyone can help me with this that would be great. so please help me out
