Yea my car would be really easy to sell but the shape its in right now i wouldnt get much for it. but a paint job and some upholstery work on the backseat and i could get enough to buy a hatch or small suv worth buying. hell i only paid 300 for the car and havent had a problem out of it its all original just paint and interior definately show its age......

ok so im ordering a z15 hopefully tomorrow if my dam taxes show up and i would like to have the box built and bolted in my car b4 the sub arrives. now my question is should i go sealed or ported to move a ton of air and have alot of feel to it? btw its going in the backseat of a 76 caprice. and the next thing how can i get box dimension? sealed wouldnt be hard to figuer out but if i should go ported ill need some assistance. recomended sealed is 2.5 cubed and ported is 3.5 cubed tuned to 30 hz. thanx in advance for any help

ok so im looking for a head unit and really want a pioneer p800prs but cant find a used one. i was wondering what you guys think about the soundstream touch screens or the new clarion cz500 or the fz709 .because i can get new clarions cheap

im looking for something nice thats gonna perform very well but not break the bank. something out of the average, maybe w/ some graffix. im not looking for only performance i want something that looks good too. not one that looks like your average everyday alpine or pioneer you feel me? im looking to spend $200-300 and it doesnt necessarily gotta be brand new used is fine too

ok so i got the fosgate hx2 15 instead of a sundown z15 because the guy lowered the price to $150 it was BNIB. so i built a box tuned at 30 hz put it in my backseat playing with the placement. its only ran on a bazooka 500w mono P.O.S on a busted ass pioneer deh-p3500.in a 76 caprice btw, well anyway at the first of march im gettin some money and im gonna get either hifonics bxi or a audiopipe 1500....ok well im looking into a new head unit im looking for something around $150-$200 with 4-5v pre outs any recomendations?and maybe a pair of 10's or 12's so the hx2 isnt lonely.......or sundown 8's just looking for ideas and you guys have been alot of help so far pics up tomorrow

i did have 2 treo te 15's in a massive ported box in the trunk for a while but the trunk is nowhere near sealed off. its rusted through pretty good in the trunk and the seal is so old it doesnt attempt to seal. and the trunk lid rattles so loud it just got annoying and i dont have the money to dump into fixing and deadining the trunk. and right before i sold the treo's i stuck them in the back seat and it was an unbelievable difference and plus i dont need or really want a back seat cause people are always wanting rides and only coughing up a couple bucks for gas which in a v8 doesnt cut it .so that way it sounds better, i dont have to have to be a prick about givin people rides, and ill still have the huge trunk for storage... and sumone is already on top of the box design and it is much appreciated

x2, i'm already thinking about a new amp and subs. I think I might have one, when you have to explain to non-car audio people that car audio people don't really care about the kind of car you have just as long as you have a system. I constantly get criticized for putting a system in my car (a 98 Taurus). people talk shiz to me about having a system that cost twice as much as my car instead of making it look better..i drive a 76 caprice thats rust and blue in color with random black primer spots with busted interior....but when they start talkin shiz i turn that volume knob and i dont hear a damn thing lol...plus noone is gonna think an old busted car would have anything like that in it so i dont worry so much about getting jacked

so i was wondering its easier for me to make payments over a period of time than it is to save the money to buy quality like sundown or fi. do any of these companies do that?

i agree with ya on the last post imma go with the sundown. ive never heard a z-15 either and i know wut the fosgate could do. but sundown is the final choice

so i found a just like new rf power hx2 15 for $200 but im trying to find sumthing a lil cheaper or atleast brand new that will satisfy. i've been thinking bout a sa-8 or orphan 8 and was wondering what the most power i should put to one daily to get the most output......im interested in any ones suggestions for single sub in the cab of a 76 caprice. going for spl not sq but wanna spend under $200 and run about 1000rms

its gonna be a daily beater listening to mostly rap hip hop. i want good frequency response while also hitting the hard low bass. like for instance put on by jeezy i would like all the bass notes on that song to sound good and be felt on the lows, or hit real hard on bass i love you or grippin the grain screwd

just like the title of this thread i want the best bang for the buck. i want a sub that ill be able to feel and that will move some air and get some flex going on. i have like 24 hrs till my decision dead line. im stuck between the rf power hx2 15. the sundown z15(i heart sundown). or maybe a type r 12 cuz i can get 1 for $100 im depending on u guys to lead me in the loudest most pressure felt direction on a budget of $200 or less for a sub and at most $150 for an amp

i know old school sound streams are good amps. i have a mint sa-164 already and it suprises me how much power it puts out. and the rubicon 1002 is supposed to put out 1000w rms. thats just what i need so is $150 for this amp an ok deal that will guarantee me 1000w rms?

im willing to do the whole back seat which i did a rough measurement and without blocking my windows i can go w-61" h-26" d-22" maybe a couple more inches deep without hittin my front seats i decided to go with the hx2 cause i found a rf 1000.1 for $150 so after buying those i should have enough left to build a box just let me know how big of box i should build to get the most out of the sub and which way to face the sub and the port and ill post pics of the build i cant wait!......damn federal needs to deposit

Aren't Hifonics ad MB Quart both Maxxsonic? I'd assume being that they're both of the same parent company the build quality would be the same and if history is any indicator wouldn't the guts of an DSC most likely be very similar if not the exact same to a similarly advertised Hifonics and for that matter Autotek and Crunch amps? Please correct me if I'm wrong but I remember back in the day when Boss released a 3000 watt mono amp and it had the same guts as the Lanzar 1200D, both those companies were owned by Sound Around or Anaba or whatever. Just making conversation. i've been wondering the same thing bout hifonics, crunch, mbquarts, and autotek.......i've been told to get hifonics if ur on a budget but not crunch when they r made by the same company and they have the same look to them.......also i've heard some autotek amps that are pretty damn good anyone agree?

how much u wantin for the sub? and where u located?

just my 2 cents but run as much power as U want. or atleast till you think you are pushing to much power. if u got the money to blow do wut u like, like ***** ***** and his youtube vids 20,000+ watts daily.... if i could i be runnin as much power as i could daily

you know ur a audio addict when u spend all ur tax money on a new setup and only get ur ol' lady a 79 cent card for v-day.....this is gonna go over real well
