try local alternator shops and act like you've found some good deals online and look like u know what your talking bout and they can build u one. im sure if u talk to the right people they could use ur factory alt and have it all built in a day

double baffle it for sure. if u dunno wut that means, it means double up the front where the subs mount. this adds alot makes it more sturdy. also make sure u use tightbond or a similar wood glue and a gang of screws. predrill the holes first. it should hold up and do pretty good. 32hz is good depending on ur music choice. i have a single 15 in about the same size box tuned at 33ish hz and i listen to mostly rap/hiphop and it sounds good. country,rock,and other genres sound good too. i was told first to tune at 30 for the lows n didnt like it cause it was all lows and higher notes sounded nasty. then was told 40hz cause i listen to mostly rap didnt like it cause it didnt get low enough. so then i used my subs recommended tuning freq. of 33hz and it has a good freq. range. also u might try sealed. more freq. range. and ur subs should still get loud. how much power u running? also the box is a key piece of the puzzle to the outcome of the setup. unless u get a box builder to hook it up u will probably end up trying several configs

so i got a 4' x 8' sheet of 3/4 plexi for free the other day so im using some of it to enclose my amp. im wondering where i should mount my fans i have 2 4" fans and im wondering how should i mount and wire them. 1 in each end? wired one pushes and one pulls? or both pulling air in? and ill add 2 more when i find some more

its just 1 saz-1500d currently its mounted on/in a temporary rack/enclosure between my front seats. why there? you may ask. 1. my car is a leaky ol bitch and thats the safest place where it wont get wet. 2. im still tuning here and there with the ssf, hpf, and gain so thats easy access 3. its worth more then i paid for the car so it gives me sumthing sexy to look at lol(my ol' lady is jealous of my system) so its just gonna be a few inches bigger then my amp. two fans in each end. was just gonna gank a couple more out of some junk computers. but im thinking ill probably end up buying some clear comp. fans that are lit up. i've also been looking at these: http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/1331967/vpcsid/0/SFV/30046 what would be the best idea for cutting this plexi?

damn to bad i didnt know you were looking for a classic b4 u started. i've got a 76 caprice(same as impala) all original very little rust. it was perfect body until about 2 weeks ago had a hit and run but it did alot more damage to his car lol. it caved in my rear quarter panel but it can be knocked out. and like a month ago windshield got cracked at a concert. and im a cheap guy i woulda let u have it for less then a grand. lol but its my daily driver. he will like the eclipse more anyway with the prices of gas. thats what i hate about a v-8. props on the outcome of the car. are u going all black with it now? or just on top?

it was about 10 yrs ago my cousin bought a pair of old school lanzar 12's in a bandpass from my dad and he hooked to a chrome rf punch 75i (without endcaps lol) i remember that thing beat the hell outta them lanzars especially after he got a line driver. then one day walked down the street he opened the trunk and said watch this then he turned it on and it was shooting about a 6" flame out of it. then he said i can have it i gutted it and still couldnt get rid of that burnt stank i had the chrome case in my closet until it disappeared a few yrs ago

ohh yeah gonna use it very wisely....all my buddies and cousins keep tryin to get me to use it for dumbshit im gonna use some for the top and sides of my amp cover maybe with the saz1500 guts showin lol and saving the rest until i get a different car and upgrade to 2 15's and and build a nice box with multiple windows or sumthin lol

i've got a saz1500 too on stock electrical with 4ga big 3 along with stock and my single fosgate power hx2 15 sonuds great. 12.2 is as low as it drops at full tilt but also my alt and battery are only a few months old and it wont charge any higher than 13.0 anymore but i dont know how accurate my volt meter is, because my screen on my pioneer deh-p680mp busted so i cant use the voltage meter on it and it always ran a little higher then the one i use now just cant remember how much p.s. im adding a second stock alt and a boat battery soon

ill have to see what voltage they are.they came out of computers. i've had one in half built rack i was working on b4 i got the plexi and i had it hook + to the remote on amp and the - to the ground and its worked great for like 2 weeks. but ill peep the build log

man i've dealt with this problem a few times with my system and my cousins that i maintain for her. i wouldnt blame it all on the box tuning but that does add to it. im betting its your head unit considering most jensens are crap and dont have sub outputs. it took me 6 months to convince my cousin hers sounded shitty because the dual head unit she had. it had no sub outs so u couldnt control the sub level or filters. once it got stolen and i helped her pick a new one i made sure it had sub outs and it made the subs sound 10x better. also its taken me 3 tries so far to get my box tuned right. i think im still a smidgen off but as close 33hz as of yet. and i just got my saz1500 like a month ago and im still trying to get it adjusted right the ssf and the lpf are sensitive.

i prefer ryobi myself. i got 2 drills and the cordless skillsaw i wish i had more than 2 batteries tho the saw kills em quik

im working on electrical at the moment since my a/c dont work imma mount another stock alt in its place charging a deep cycle battery powering my amp... i know the box will make it or break it thats y im asking for help. what kinda box setup should i go with? trunk or backseat? cu. ft.? port width? building the box is no problem got all the tools i need. just need help designing.........SO PLEASE!!!!! give advice
