Mainly i want to know if their are any car audio careers that pay good like engineers and everything. Like working for a big company or starting your own. The reason i ask this is because I am a junior and havent really decided on a career. I like doing car audio but just want to know if it pays good. Is their electrical engineers in big companies.Like Scott from Fi i want to know what his position was at RE and if it actually paid good. Or any other person in the car audio world.

okay so i just got a little amp and was going to install it at my house with a psu but the problem is that the remote turn on on the amp how will that work i do not have a headunit so yeah.

So i am building a new box as of this moment i have 2.5 net volume without any sub displacement or any thing. The driver is 1 RE SE12 . My desired tuning frequency is around 32-34 hz. I want to know what the port diameter and length i have tried some calculators but they are to long for the enclosure.
-
Yeah but the question is that what sub RE SE or Fi SSD We are NOT going to make up you mind for you, SO flip a coin or something. O.K so we are going to start building a box sometime next week and try out a type r on it see if he likes it. And he is going to try out one of my cousins SE's on the same box see wich ones better thanks for the help

Yeah but the question is that what sub RE SE or Fi SSD
-
Well considering my brother bought everything without asking me anything. So i talked to him today and he said the box that he has right now is going to go. And he is planning on selling the R's. And he wants to build a new box about the same size as the other one but just for 1 12. He told me that he can get the following: 1 12 RE SE 1 12 Fi SSD. But if there are any other choices he might consider those. But they have to be loer than 250. But he is keping the amp. And what he wants is more cleaner and accurate bass but still able to get loud
-
Right now there in about 1.5-2.0 cubic ft sealed. But what he wants is more room in his trunk and he might sell them. But if he where to keep the Type R's how do you recommend the box to be

E-mailing they replied pretty quick just be patient. And the recones are on there website in the recone side and it says the q and everthing. I believe you cannot change that sub into a bl ecause they are completely different series with different goals in mind.
-
Okay so i have a powerbass pb-b125dv2 and it is popped and i want an fi recone. I was going to get the re se recone from them. I was going to change the gasket to 12 spoke and buy the recone and drop it in. Will this work. And it is a DVC sub. Is this possible. The sub is pratically new.
-
Exactly. Without details of the motor, it's impossible to know how well the recone will work. And it's basket, not gasket. I thought it was a typo but you've used it in both posts now. No idea, we have no details of the motor. I would guess you probably don't even know the diameter of the coil. But beyond that, you don't have enough information about the motor to even begin to determine if the resulting subwoofer will be decent or crap. Nevermind my above posts, this statement settles it. YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO BUSINESS TRYING TO CUSTOM BUILD A SUBWOOFER. That simple. Don't do it. You don't know enough yet. It's not your fault, and I'm not calling you stupid or dumb as a person. But it would be a horribly stupid and dumb idea for you to build a custom subwoofer with the complete lack of knowledge you currently possess. Thiele Small Parameters OK thanks for opening up my mind i thought i would be like a take apart and drop in. but it isnt and i might know all of this info in the future i will do several research and comeback with more knowledge. I just wanted to know if it would work like how i stated but its going to take way more thanks.
-
Well i just thought it would work because if i change gasket to 12 spoke it will fit it i am pratically taking the sub apart and just leaving the motor. So well the result be a beter sub? And what exactly are t/s parameters

I konow this is an old post but how did this guy fit a fi bl when i can only fit an IA 187 i really want an fi sub but i just want to know how he did this and i can build it
