can I recone my bl that came with reg coil with a flat wond coil is the gap the same?

lil vid still lots of work to be done i was lookin at the Thiele-Small Parameters on the Q18 vs the BL18 any one get to comper thes subs in preson?

its not recommend using a sealed box for any of the BL or BTL series of woofers Maxxsonics MX-3 Bass Controller

obviously the sub warranty is void when its installed in a box size thats not recommended. i wold pay extra and move to a 18'' if i was you. and my box would be at 30 hz if a box has a low ripple, it has a flatter response! i dint say he wasn't play under the f3

...you must have an amp that has an adjustable subsonic filter that is set 2-3Hz below the port tuning frequency i disagree it depends on the ripple of the box it sounds to me that you have the coils ran in series and there is a brake somewhere in the sub the box being only .5 cu ft to big with only half power going to the sub should be fine are you sure its not the amp?

sorry i dont act like a know it all cause i own my own shop, i have a good reputation for good installs if you dont believe come to my shop and see for your self in my personal set up i ran o/s us amps, Rockford, hifonics, visonik, jl, kicker,ect i know (Jayson) ran 8 1500 sundowns on 4 dd i clamp the 1500 @1348 watts i just wanted to see what people said, there amps out there that are good that i have not seen like ground-zero, cactus-sounds, b2-audio, sound digital, formulaxaudio

I'm really surprised that you are asking these questions if you own a shop. 60% of customers bring their own equipment I sell American Bass, Audiopipe, Autotek, Crunch, Hifonics, Kicker, Maxxsonics, MB Quart, MTX, Pioneer, ect 90% of my revenue is installs maybe i will look into becoming a sundown dealer ,
