I'm liking the ICON. I'ma go do some trunk measurements and see what I can do. This box I'll have to buy or make but the speaker is my birthday gift and I got a week to shop so I'll pop back in when I have an update

Ok ty I will. And yea I knew the box was gonna have to be changed just it looks so nice and was tryin to save some money. I'm goin to try to sell off box and cap. Then maybe would it be better with 2 400 to 600 rms subs or stick with just the 1 1000 to 1400rms sub. I like the 1 big one idea I think I would get more if not correct me I havn't used a 1 speaker system yet I'v always had pairs

200 to 300 but if its somthin that intrests me I could go 400 hundy and I figured also a bigger cubic foot box but this one looks pretty big in that little trunk. I have also never had ported everything I'v always had was sealed. I also got a 10' sealed competition audio bahn dvc 400 rms sub sounds almost as great as the 12' version audio bahns and it's in crappy box

Ok thank you After doin my studies I was right I figured it would be the dual 1 I just really wanted to make sure. Got any speaker ideas? I really rather lean towards some bangin (clean) bass I don't want any big distortion rattlin type. I liked the bass outa my 2 sealed 12' audio bahn limited edition d jones series 04 subs with a 1800 watt sound design amp pushin the max on amp at 4 ohms not bridge. once i bridged it cause a guy said it be twice as loud i went to turn it on and the fuse on the power cable at battery kept poppin. was only a 20 amp fuse but that 20 amp fuse can power a sony explode amp to the max. But then i upgraded to 5 guage wire and then turned the amp on the fuse didnt blow the amp started on fire lol. So since that amp which was my best one till this alpine which i think is may more power then what the 1800 was pushin unbridge. those subs were only 400 rms ea and I had them for about 4 years just straight bangin them with all amps iv ever had to the max. (Don't have anymore girlfriend cranked it one night and blew them both usin a sony explode 1k amp (worst amp ever made). I tore the speakers down to the chrome metal and have them hanging on the wall Its blue flames looks awesome.

Hi guys I need a good speaker I was recommended to Fi. So far with this kind of upgrade I'm goin to be upgradin the power and ground cable but right now I'm workin with (head unit - panasonic cq-c7401u, Amp - Alpine mrp-m1000, Box - Single 12' ported mtx Sledgehammer, Thinkin it's 1.8 to 2.0 cubic feet I'm not sure Havn't used box yet so I don't even know what it's gonna sound like) I do have a 1 Farad Rockford cap but I Havnt used cause It's pointless till I upgrade alt and big 3 which I have never done but will be doing first thing after I order speaker. Now my guy told me to check out the Fi Q 12'. I'm liking what I see but I'm not totally sure I know exactly How the ohms thing works. I know amp is 2 ohm stable but If i get the dual 1 Isnt that gonna be 1.4 ohms and if i get the dual 2 isn't it gonna be 2.8 ohms? which would be the one I get for the amp I'm using If my amp can even be compatible with Fi? I will also be getting the $30 doller upgrade for the Q. Also if I wanted would my amp be able to power the bl series? I don't have faith in it powering the BTL it's only 250 doller amp. If Theres any other Sub that would work better for me I would appreciate the recommendations. I was also Liking the Alpine type X would that be better with my amp? Either way I'm stuck with the box I have. Also this will be in a 2004 chev cav LS sport 2 door. Also on my speaker box the Plug that connects to the speaker plugs insides the box and you plug your speakers on the outside says 4 ohms on it. If im running at 2 ohms I will have to buy a 2 Ohm plug right? Music I'll be playin is Hardstyle and Rap

Haha I know what you mean. That's why I'm doin it all right for once I don't have money to just through away and I want something like term (dress to impress) And hopefully I'll get some good feedback with a few questions I'm having on Fi subwoofer purchase
