  1. Hey fellas. What's going on? Alright, heres the deal. I picked up another CVR, so I am now in the process of deciding what I want to do with the new box for the 2 CVRs. This setup is going to be a pure daily driver, no competing or anything. I listen to all rap or hip-hop. Now, I emailed Kicker and asked what they thought the best daily driver box would be and they sent me some specs that ended up being tuned to around 40 hz. I thought 40 hz is pretty high for daily driver tuning. I PM'd Polecat and he said that 40 hz would be good and that I wouldn't lose much low end and that it would get loud and sound musically good. My current box for my single CVR is 34 hz and I am just confused what to do. Is 40 hz too high or will it still be good? What do you guys think? ----------------- I was really confused so I emailed Kicker again about the tuning and they said: Ok so I emailed KICKER again with my concerns and this was the reply: The tuning of 12's between 37 and 40 is a great range. Most music has the main amount of bass between 40 and 50 hertz. The woofers in those enclosures will still play down to 25 hertz and up to 100 hertz. Our favorite box for the CVR12's is the street bass box. We still recommend you build each chamber (the woofers should be in separate chambers) to 2.82 cubic feet with a port opening of 33 square inches and a port length of 16.5" for each chamber. Drew Hazel Technical Support Stillwater Designs, Inc. That comes out to 2.5 net for each woofer and tuned round 40 again.... What do you guys think? Im still torn what to do. Should I tune high around 38-40 or tune low like 30-32?
