For the greater good of humanity we swapped out a couple of those subs for a Blueprint 1202. The customer's ears aren't suffering anymore.
-
More Magnum 15's are estimated to arrive around the middle of June. Pre-orders are now being taken.

Heheh...notice the ear plugs too? That picture was taken in a Chevy Suburban - now just imagine what is in it. It's a daily driver, but it still pounds.

This is for those of you who really don't know us here at Stereo Integrity... I dream, literally, of ways to increase the sound quality of a speaker. My dad and I drive around with spare voice coils in our cup holders (they're 3" diameter, which conveniently helps hold large tall cups in place). Jacob and I rack our brains constantly about the pro's and con's of crossover slopes, frequencies, and speaker selections we are faced with when designing component systems. If any of you (our customers) were around us just hanging out, you would know what I'm talking about...Hoss can vouch for me on this one. I dream about cone materials, voice coil manipulations, massive spiders, huge, linear surrounds, and all that other good stuff at least once a week. We will soon have an "About Us" section on our web page where you can keep track of what we are doing and what we have been doing in the past, so the general public can know the severeity of our nerdery.

Lets just say that I was driving down the auto bahn and happened upon this.
-
See, I'm not joking about the cup holder.
-
Now where's the fun in that?
-
And dangit I need to get a digital camera that shows our surround correctly. The danged thing looks pink/purple.

And a rear shot

Side shot...

Hrm...I really don't get what you're saying. Is this going in the truck you posted pics of in the other thread? Facing the sub upwards won't hurt it, that's for sure. That's how Dustin's subs were installed in his Ranger and they were/are just sick loud.

Production numbers won't be posted. 'ol Markiepoo will just have to email me to find out. There will be no discount. If anything, the price might go up once we receive the next batch.

15 D2 availability?/stealth audio plans
Electrodynamic replied to allConfused's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
15" Magnum's won't be available for a while. Their production run was short-lived, and it will be a while before more are produced. -
Questions about Hifonics1500D settings for my 15
Electrodynamic replied to Vicious's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
First, turn off/down your bass EQ. Secondly, turn up your HU to what you listen to it at maximum. Go back and turn up your gain until the sub stops getting louder. Back it off a tad from there and your gain will be set. Sometimes the indicators on the amplifiers are just flat out wrong. My friends Sony amp has this TINY area where 90% of the amplifiers gain takes place - it's not accurate by the indicator, or limits, at all. Besides that everything sounds OK with your setting. Do you have a subwoofer output on your HU? If you do, is it turned up? -
We can build bi-ampable crossovers if you wish. The cost of the components will go up as a result, however. Bi-amping is a neat feature to have, but it's not necessary. You can control the output level of each speaker, the crossover point and slope if you are going through an active crossover, and other things, so that's why some people like them.

Gotta disagree with you on this one. I want as much power as possible on my front stage, period. :denim:

To highlight or bring out.

Yep. The red-colored (coated 20 gauge aluminum) windings are the coil itself and the black bobin (anodized aluminum) it is wound on is the voice coil former.

...about bass EQknobs on amps, here's my rule of thumb: NEVER USE IT. 99% of the time it just accentuates a very narrow bandwidth, nothing more.
-
Sorry, no charts on the 15" Magnums. But I am glad that you like the Mag...especially in the sealed enclosure.
-
We've always got a couple things up our sleeve. But for now we are trying to change a few things here and there (component set work) before venturing off into anything else. If you're asking about amps, wire, deadening, etc, the answer is no.

If you get a Viper 1200d it should do right around 1200 watts, which will be fine.
