Guys, I'd like it back in a decent amount of time. I would rather you not keep it for two to three weeks, but other than that allow some time for a few of you all to meet up and demo the sucker.

With the proto 15 being about 50% of its potential, I doubt it'll turn heads in the SPL area. The bad pole/backplate is doing serious damage to the drivers performance.

Just ask Greer, Lloyd, Nick M., Josh Gull, or anyone else that was at the meet when I plugged it into a wall. We actually hit it about 5 times, and it was a fresh driver too - no break-in period. The drivers can handle their own, but if you don't listen to music / care about the fidelity to a great degree then there are drivers out there that can be louder than the new Mag's. I haven't heard the SX's so I can't comment about their SQ.

I think they are both in transit. Jordan lives on the west coast and Bob has it, but has yet to call or email me yet with anything. (sorry, but the 15 is officially one person behind since I took so long to get it out). UPS ground sucks for getting drivers to a destination quickly, but it is one of the least expensive ways. Noah, on the other hand, has said close to nothing on the forums since he got his and shipped his out.

The chrome job on that particular motor was done locally. That motor was not supposed to go out, but I had it built to test the driver anyway. I knew it would not perform 100%, but I needed to actually hear the driver regardless of the defect. The bad chrome job is not only on the back plate, but it is also on the pole - hence the ticking issue that Cory is talking about. This problem will NOT be on the production drivers. Thanks for the write up Cory! Now you see why we tossed the Aura out of our listening room for this puppy!

Please what? About it crushing two MOMO's or about the other issue? Kent, there's a little explanation about the issue with the 15 in with the driver. It is not 100% by any means. A bad chrome job leaked into the pole as it did the backplate which is causing some rubbing. The motor wasn't supposed to be sent out but I had it sent to me anyway just to roughly test the 15. The 12, however, is a perfect working driver.

Post up a review when you can Cory, I believe we would all like to see an in-depth review of the driver...especially since Aaron won't let us read his.

If you cannot tell the build quality difference from the two pictures above, then you need to seriously re-evaluate how you perceive subwoofers. We did/changed everything for a reason on these new subwoofers. No, our magnets aren't the biggest...but they didn't need to be the biggest. Our top plate's aren't the biggest...but they didn't need to be. I mean...we already hold two world records in MECA S1 with the 1'st generation Mag's - let alone the new ones.

The alignment that Kent posted up will probably work out well (the others that he has posted have worked well). And a huge sealed box in a car would be glorious. It doesn't need to be that big, but low end would be awesome.

4 cubes minimum. I mean, you could go smaller, but 4 cubes would be the min. for me. Just seal the sucker.
