My New Install Part II - Lots of Pics
Electrodynamic replied to Mega Heavy Bass's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Ummm...are you covering up our logo with an "MB" in your install? -
You know...I was thinking about doing my install myself but I think I'll make an appointment with you so we can get it done in 1/4 the time it would take me. ...and not to mention the glass work will look better also.
-
Nick Budros has it (does that ring a bell Jason?).
-
Thanks Jason. PM me or post it up on here when you find out who got it and when they got it. I'm not afraid to call the police over $60 worth of wire.

Magnum SI - Difference in Genereations?
Electrodynamic replied to Zackdp's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Yeah, what Tirefryr said. The old Magnum's are in a class by themselves but the new Mag's are better all the way around - more efficient, same SQ as the older Magnum's, and better hard and soft parts all the way around. -
You guys have Christmas over there?
-
Yeah man, I just saw your new signature pic. That's a damned sexy combo!
-
Yeah, what he said.

Well during our testing tonight we had ... a development. We tested two prototypes tonight and when we took the second prototype out the motor fell off. The prototype that survived was our mid-line prototype that we got in a few days ago. And in case I haven't posted about it, we are coming out with a mid-line speaker. They'll be available in 10's and 12's. So yeah, here's some pics. The first two pics are of the busted driver and the third pic is of our new mid-line 12.

Consideirng new sub manufacturer
Electrodynamic replied to snoopdan's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Well we found out that Mr. Lowry has ... other plans. I'll let him tell the forums what has been happening. End of the story, Hollis is going to be getting a wall with four SI 15's hopefully powered by a Goliath. -

Of course , and Noah and Dustin Flieg... Although I haven't heard from Mr. Lowry in a while. I wonder if those 15's are even getting used? -
Consideirng new sub manufacturer
Electrodynamic replied to snoopdan's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Hoss has the trophies and the records that prove that he was loud with our original Magnum's. 4 12's in a stock Explorer (stock alt, stock battery, etc) doing 152's regularly, a 156 once, and him getting pissed at a 150 was a pretty normal thing. -

I hear it's what brings the kids down. I need to get some. -
Man I bet that is just sick inside the cab. It looks really good! Good job mang!

A lot of members of Team Smoke already use our Mag's, which is what Wedge is talking about. -

Where are Chad and Sean at? -
See those right-angle adapters for the RCA's on the right amplifier? They're so close to the sub that they have to be removed in order to get the speaker out. It's a TIGHT install and when Jake gets done it'll look like the factory floor is there and nothing more. But that BMW trunk is a bass TRAP. Like he said, only two little holes that bass is coming through.
-
You should have gotten in on the demo ring so you could have tested the new Mag's against your RL-p. A comparisson with the old Magnum will still be cool.
-
Do a search for my listing (it's probably on page eleventybillion now) for the pics - the front of the driver has scratches on the surround and such, hence the perfect candidate for inverse mounting.
-
From the looks of things I should re-post that claw that I have on all other forums for $125 shipped. It'd be a great woofer to polish up the arse on and mount inverted.
-
Precisely.
-
No because you'll make it asplode.
-
Actually they were named after a Kart chassis. You were close though.
-
Chad is referring to me talking about 10's with our Mag motor on it. It's totally overkill for a 10" driver. If you are shoving that much power to a driver a 12" is usually just fine. Not too many people are shoving that much power into a driver and only have 11" of hight to work with and/or 5" of mounting depth.

I sent out two 15' pieces of Omni speaker wire to Ryan yesterday. The list of demoees is as follows (in shipping order as well): Ryan M. Brad E. Jason G. Nick B. Nick C. Keith M. Justin T. That's the official demo ring. I forgot to add to the letter that I supplied with the wire that the wire is directional, so watch out for that. Other than that, let it begin!
