^ What Jake said. They are not light weights at all, but you were talking about sending 700+ watts to a sub that's rated at 400 watts. You simply don't need all of that power on a BM to get full potential out of it.
-
Nope, double slug.
-
There you go guys!
-
Yep, if you can, that would be great. I tried calling you earlier but dialed the wrong number. And now people are posting on here faster than I can call!!
-
BM 10's are currently out of stock. But even if we did have some, a 400 watt driver isn't going to hold 750. However, if you were to turn the gain down and only send the pair of drivers 800-1000 watts or so, they would be just fine. The new BM's will be coming soon, and their power handling is going up quite a bit. They're also going to be a lot bigger.

I've said it before but I feel like I need to say it again: YOU MUST EMAIL ME TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST!! If I don't receive an email from you and know that you are working on the project (sample images of progress are appreciated), you will not be considered in the contest.

3 cubes at 29 will work, but it's not optimum. If you're used to that enclosure, the Mag are definitely going to sound better and be louder. Or you could shrink the box and run them sealed at 3 cubes each.

All of the above reply's are right - a SAZ-1500D is the way to go. We haven't announced it yet but we're going to extend the warranty on the new 12" Mag's by a year extra if coupled with a Sundown. And yes, the amps are that good. I'll be running either numerous 1500's or a 3000 in our next demo car.

Web hosting doesn't have to be included but I would like suggestions becasue I'm going to switch at the end of the month.

Pics of the 15 are going to be loaded on the new page when it is loaded. There are plenty of pics of Mag 15's on the forums but I haven't uploaded any pics of the 15 onto our web page yet. And if you want to participate in the contest you need to email me.

We have some submissions but I'm waiting on one more before deciding.

Sure, I should have specified that shipping was for the lower 48 states.

Thanks mang.

We put the current Mag through the wringer too. It saw in excess of 2800 watts numerous times. We don't hold anything back on any of our potential drivers. If something we churn out is rated at 1000 watts, rest asured that sucker has taken 2000 watts without blowing up.
-
It usually takes less than 1 hour, but it's still a damned good time! Most people would cringe during our testing procedures, but it's good clean fun...well, it's usually not so clean at the end of the test.
-
Jake has two of these little suckers in his Civic and they're potent little drivers. For two budget 10's, they can't be beat.

Once we find an acceptable proto, 2 months.

Crazy you test your drivers for things customers shouldn't do. I guess that's what quality assurance is all about. I guess I should just pick up an old one. Make no mistake, Mag's are still coming soon. I'm not willing to come out with a driver that isn't 100%. And yes, we TORTURE our drivers. For the record, it survived full-exucrsion for 15 minutes at 2.2-2.8k watts before it let go. And that's a driver that we're going to rate at 1000 watts.

Hey Kevin, glad to see you on the board! And also glad to hear that the Mag is still kicking. The 8454 is still in my posession - a friend of my father's tried jip'ing me out of it for $200 recently. Riiiiiight. But, I suppose an update is in order on the proto: The new proto we got was visually spectacular! The moving parts are exactly what we are looking for - a new STIFF paper cone, great surround, spiders, woven (but not really) leads, etc. However, it didn't make the cut. It had some issues with staying in alignment so we tested it thermally and made a few glue joints fail after 15 minutes of 2.8k watts or so about an octave below tuning.

We have .jpg's of the logo and I believe a .pdf. Email me if you have any questions or requests (such as above). [email protected]

Whole site...which is basically just editing the main page with pictures and text.

We have another proto sitting in the warehouse now. This proto might be the one that finally makes the cut. Appearance-wise it makes the cut but we'll put it though its paces tonight and I'll report on how it holds up to the power testing later on tonight. As far as coil options go, we haven't had enough demand to warrant running production runs based off of anything other than the dual 2 configuration. In other words, the new Mag's will come as Dual 2 configurations only (just as with the previous models). And on the note of continuing the current driver as another line, it's really not worth it. We are upgrading the Mag, as we constantly strive to improve on our products. The Mag is our big-boy, our no-compromise driver when it comes to an SQ driver that you can also win competitions with. Flat out, if something sounds better, it's far less loud. And if something is louder, it sounds worse. We don't see any need to continue a product that has been improved on...especially since it will cost the same.
-
We've been waiting for over 4 months to come out with the new Mag's, they're absolutely going to be better than the current driver.
-
That's a great word...invertedness. Hind-sight is always 20/20, but good luck trying to snag a new Mag.

They will come soon. A prototype arrived on Thursday but it's not going to work. I'll publish pics of the new proto once one worthy enough shows up.
