    Hixm vs standard BTL coil

Just wondering... Does the Hixm coil has better efficiency in comparison with the standard BTL coil? What are the pros and cons when using the first in SPL /power handling/output? Is there any signifficant difference in the subs sensitivity? A few days i have watched some tests on some new quad stacked motor subs and i wondered if it would make any difference if the coils were put a little higher than they originaly ought to be put (like 4-5 windings were out of the motor top instead of putting all the coil in the magnet gap)

That's weird....I have spoken to several people in the web where they put Fi recones into MTs... Anyway i wil sent you an e-mail.Thanks!!!

    Hixm vs standard BTL coil

Hmmm...So here is what i witnessed...One 12" sub triple stacked motor 0,7 ohm/VC coils connected in paralell configuration score 15_.4 db Second test one 12" sub quadral stacked motor same nominal impedance same configuration score 8 db lower. The only difference was the position of the coil.In the first case all the windings except the top five were into the magnet gap but in the second case all the windings were in the magnet gap. There was no difference in the length of the coil in both cases. So my thought was that it must have a sensitivity issue that caused such a huge difference. To be honest i expected the heavy loade motor to be louder... By the way, i recently (2,5 weeks ago) ordered 2 BTL recones for my 18" RE audio MTsDid you receive my order and payment via paypal?

    AX-Tu4360c

I used to have similar problems with my old school TU 600... Try to do the next. 1.Check your amplifier ground wire connection. It is best to sand off the paint on the chassis ground connection spot. 2.Use a bigger ground wire 3.Try to use a single ground spot for every unit (one for each amp one for the proccessor etc) 4.Don't use a capacitor.Useless...(at least for USAMPS) If you see any improvement, check the power wire/wires. Last thing you should check is the RF (360.2) unit. There is a possibility that it my not be compatible with the input of USAMPS.I have witnessed this with my old symmetry EPX 2 (A lot of hiss and popping when i turned off the amps).Problem was solved with a new USX-3

    US AMPS AND DBDRAG SCORES

Feeling very proud to use USAMPS ,i just wanted to let everyone know what these amps are capable of...In our SEAT MARBELLA (very much like a Panda)using two USA 6000 and 2 15'' RE AUDIO MTs (2 ohm/coil paralled) driven by one Stinger SP 1700,we hit 158,7 dbs@ 66 HZ, certified in Street max 1-2 class at the 2005 Hellenic Finals. The real crazy thing is that it only took us 2 hours of tuning (we took the first measurement 8 hours before the beginning of the event) to reach that score, so anyone can understand the potential of this setup.... Imagine the score after one month of testing, at the right impedance and at a higher tuning frequency (69 - 71 HZ).......

    USA 4000X

Bummer, well i learned a good expencive lesson on that one At least you have a limited edition amp.... we have a guy running one here daily with no problems, that little thing's a damn beast. I'm not going to say he beats on it constantly though. 2 guys here still use them in competition, in NSPL classes, because last year the fuse rating had to be 150 or less, and it has a 120 amp fuse rating. Guy with one of them hit 148.xx yesterday on 2 12's, and could have been a bit louder, but they couldn't get his cd player to quit skipping. During testing, the 4000x was .7 louder than a DD M3 He should try a cd changer or a different location for the source unit...

    USA 4000X

The 4000X cannot play more than 5 minutes continiously... Don't use it for daily unless USAMPS experts say you can. When we bought them Jack Matheny specificaly noted that these amps were not for daily use... It was a little beast when it was first released...Regardless of its size it's very strong...I used 2 of them on 2 15'' MTs in a street C (160 lt net ported enclosure setup 3 years ago. Max score 152,6 dbs on a single Optima bluetop and only 1 0gauge power wire.on my Peugeot 106

    Strapping 4 AXs 3200 DE

How can i strapp 4 of these beasts to a nominal 0,25 Ohm impedance on a single super battery only for burps? I'm thinking of using them on my Street max 1-2 setup to replace my 2 USA 6000. Is it safe?Has anyone done it?Is there any strapping diagram available?

Compared to an AX 3200 DE which one would be the winner? I believe the new AX is capable of producing 240 Volt output...
