So, I take it you got the X12's? Doing a direct swap in your current enclosure, or building a new one? I think your current one would work well, just have to cut out the holes a little bigger as the new Sundown baskets have a slightly larger outside diameter.

To many variables. Completely install/enclosure dependent. Both subs are designed to excel in the lower frequency range. Zv4 has a bigger motor and can handle more power. The X is basically a scaled down/less expensive version of the Zv4. That being said, I love my X12. Have it on around 1500 rms in 3 cubes at 31Hz with 50 sqin of port area and it kills Decaf/Slowed Music. That's what my goal was when putting the system together, and the X hasn't disappointed me. Tuned for teh lowz.

Just dropped the X off at FedEx. My girl got called into work early, so I had to take that big bish on the damn bus, lol. Twas fun to say the least.

Yeah, had a show Sat too. Could have slapped some CA on there and resoldered the tinsel, but I plan on having the sub a long time and didn't want to do anything to jeopardize the warranty. This way I know it will be fixed right. There will be more shows. This is the most I've ever spent on a single sub and I want to protect my investment.

Sub being shipped backed to Sundown today or tomorrow. Spider completely separated from the landing and then popped a tinsel lead. Jacob's reputation of excellent customer service has proven true once again. I now see why many of y'all choose to spend those extra few dollars for the good stuff.

Yeah.... I've picked up a lot from reading those threads, but that's one song at a time. I was hoping to find some mixtapes that hit hard throughout. Seems a lot of them I'm only keeping 2 or 3 songs. And if it slams in mine, it will in anyone's. I'm not pushing big numbers..... He means every setup is different. Some are built/tuned for numbers and will seem to "slam" on higher frequency bass, where as others are built/tuned for the lows, like mine, and will have more authority on lower frequency bass. There is also the subject of peak frequency and cabin gain. We could have the same exact equipment and same box specs in two different vehicles and it will sound different in each. So he is correct, what "slams" in your car might sound weak in mine.

Box looks so much better! And added the other Alphasonik to the mids. Now each mid is bridged on a 2 channel at 8 ohms. ~100 rms of clean ass power to each. Sounds SO much better. Looks messy but it sounds crystal clear. No groud noise at all.

Anyways, progress. Did the amp rack to match.

Vids do it no justice. Thing is flexing crazy for a single 12. I didn't get windshield flex when I had the 2 12's on 1500 or the 3 10's on 3K. Can't really see it in the vid but the windshield is flexing pretty good.
