How can you say if someone would be happier with something over another if you've no experience with the other product? i have a buddy who has 2 12" ppi pcx's in his extended cab 1500 and they dont sound very good at all...to me they were sloppy sounding. it could have been the install but according to him the box was built to the recommended specs, and it was all installed by a shop locally. are the subs in a sealed or ported box? imo ppi hasnt been worth a sh*t since directed picked them up. if u want something cheaper that sounds pretty damn good try the jbl gt5 series. i have a few sets layin around ( i pay 40$ per 10 and 45 for a 15) theyre built really well sound great and use a small enclosure

i had the big 4 channel from dd and it was ok. for the 500 i paid for it ...not worth it. it got super super hot running at 2ohm stereo on 2 sets of jl 6.5s on the front channel and 2 sets 5 1/4 on the rear. i got rid of it because of that and dd customer services blows sundowns nut! lol i sold my jl amps to get dd and now have sundown and will forever! theres no need to even try to contact jacob for service because u wont need it.

i used to have 4 12 power hx2's running off 2 us amps 2000x's. they rocked but that was 9or 10 years ago. so the hx2 are probably beat to shit since they require a crap load of power and most of the time power turns into abuse. not to mention dry rot!!!! i have 2 btls 15s and 2 bl 15s. love them all!! i switch em if i wanna show off and go balls out or just ride around and have some fun. either way id go with the btl. ive had 75% of the subs on the market and doubt id ever use anything different again, although i have been eyeing a set of acsendant havocs or 2

the box style is called CRX style, i am not sure if it sounds louder to the ear. my new box is on its way and when i get everything setup ill let you know how it sounds CRX style compared to the regular way. maybe someone else will chime in also. if you are going to be getting a box made for ur magnum i would do the CRX style or something diffrent then the sub and port faceing rear just for looks and having something diffrent to most people I did an install in a Magnum with 4 Pioneer 12"s with a CRX style box and it sounded good, it slammed also. I have this setup in my 96' explorer and it sounds great. I'm not sure if there is a noticeable difference, I don't think there will be a sure way to find out either unless you have the exact specs of both setups and compare that way. I asked some guy at a local car audio store, and they told me that the port back, sub back setup is the "right way" he told me its "physics" lol, and that if you have the sub up, port back, than that cancels out some sound waves, because the sub is producing sound wavew up and down, and the sound waves coming out of the port are front to back. thats what i heard ....thats the question im lookin an answer too

is this stuff worth the money...really? ican get the door kits, 20sq, for $44 out the door and this stuff is 90 or the the same amount

like it says...should i keep my 2 btl 15's or get 4 sa12's. im using a saz2k and getting another soon. like everyone knows the btls are loud but i want a better sound. will i get it with the sa's or should i get another saz2k and keep the btls.

Did you try searching online to find some. dont know where to start the search... so much bs pops up if u search car audio comps or db shows...etc

their is alot more than just powermaster some of the best would be mech man or DC power engineering... a good ho alt will run you about 400 bucks for a 250 amp unit i talked to a few lesser known alt guys and they said mechman and dc..i think just atake a factory alt and beef it. nation said they build theyre own then beef it.

what does everyone think about running 3 vlx400s on 6 15 inch incriminator death penaltys. clam shelled in a suburban ext. use all 3 amps or only 2? any other ideas...im starting from scratch. i askd on the us amp forum and theyre dead over there

before i tear my car apart does anyone know what size speakers i can fit in my 07 magnum. not lookin for shitty ones but no where has a list of what;l fit, crutchfield either. im lookin fit a drop in preferably jl or focal. i know theyre 6x9s but most website say only 5.25 or 6.5s only. thanks

i had this done in my car with 2 sets of the xr comps. if theyre sealed they seem over whelmed and flat. so behind both of the magnets i had cut holes about the size of the magnet and it waas a night and day difference. they sound 1000 times better not sealed

i was wondering if u could help me. im changing cars and want to put a smaller box in it. right now i have 2 15 btls in a 8.5 cft box. i want to get the sa8's , 4 of em, would i be loosing a crap load of sound. i realize that they are 8s but will i hate myself for changing. im getting a magnum and im using a saz2000. they will be vented.

i did get 154.2 on a tl with the btls the saz2k was at .5ohm

i ordered set of dd2512s and built a box for them and hated them. the customer service blows (steve milton is the only one there that can answer question. dont know why, all the people there collect a check) and the subs had manufacturer defects and i had to eat 40$ per sub to send them back to get "repaired"then they sent them back just to show me the defect/noise was louder. so it cost me 80 to send them for a refund. i went with fi

i have my set in 4cubes each tuned to 33 and it sound great on all music. make sure u brace the crap out of the box and use a double baffle
