Oh I'm using 2 of them by the way.
-
I have 2 new 21" dp's and I have a 88 s10 blazer, I can't fit them behind the back seat. I bought these going to wall my extened cab truck, but have sold the truck since. So do I go with something else or wall the blazer and lose my back seat in it? If I go with anything else it will be IA. And in the $1200 range so I can maybe trade these. I have roughly 10 cubes and want it as loud as I can get it. Unless I just deside to wall it. And I'm trying to keep from doing that if I can just as loud without doing the wall. So waht do you think? Input on subs? Oh I have two 20.1's for power.

I have two dp 21's and the rear 6x9's are right behind the front two seats, not the rear deck, it's a 88 s10 blazer 2 door. And my doors are deadned but I'm building fiberglass panels for the front doors because there is no stock placement for them there.

I don't know what to put in my dash, it has stock 4x6 speakers, I want to try to do a 4" comp set or something like that, or should I just replace with coaxs? I know they make plate speakers but I don't know which way to go. I want a good clean sounding front stage with alot of bass, and crisp clean highs too. Help please.

I'm tired of racking my brain with how to fit 2 21" death penalties behind the back seat of my 88 s10 blazer 2 door, so I'm taking the back seat out! So here is my final question, sub and port direction? Subs and port up? Or subs and port forward? Or subs up port forward? Or subs forward and port up?
-
well I have two compnent sets, do I put the both in the front doors or one in the front doors and one in the rear speaker location?
-
lol I know that but what do I need? Or do I just wall my blazer? And what do I do with these 21's?
-
Yes, I already have 6.5 comps in the doors.
-
Is it just me or the picture on my phone, or is that coil really really black?
-
I want know some info on the new vs old. If some of you IA guys could chime in and give me some input as far as motor strength, magnet size/weight, coil size, you know the usual stuff.

and that tells us ?? That tells us that we need to go to books a million and pick up a PasMag if you want info before they are released When do they release? -

Info please! -
Don't do the death rows, I had a nine.1 at 1 ohm on 14.4 volts gains set way low on my dr 21" and it got hot!

Yeah it looks sick! I want to know some specs!!!! I have two bnib dp 21's. I want to go with 18's because they cool better for daily but the new ones look like they will cool alot better! -
So I have two 21" dp's and I am wondering, what is a good rule of thumb for port area on a spl box? As far as square inches per cubic ft? I have never done a spl setup. And I am planing on doing two slot ports for spl and plugging one for daily use. And would 10 square inches per cube too small for daily beating? Also may try something like four areos to keep down on internal space.

No, the one that is out now, compared to the new one that is about to come out. -

Anyone? On performance comparisons of the new and old dp's? -
No, lol. I mean build a sealed mdf box with the sub in it, and build a box to the specs of my final box out of cardboard to just tale up the extra airspace needed to get my true final resonate frequency.
-
How do you find or know your vehicles peak frequency? And how much high or lower than that should you tune you box for spl applications? I drive a 06 silverado extended cab.
-
If that is true and knowing everything changes your resonate freq. I should deaden everything first build a mock-up box or throw something in there to take up the 16-18 cubes for my box and then try to find it? Someone who thinks ahead! Amazing! Yes, deaden and throw in the filling to take up that room as that will definitely change the frequency your vehicle peaks at. so would some big cardboard box be good enough to do this with? As it is only one 12" going into my truck? I don't think it would be enough pressure to "crush" the boxes and change the airspace much. Using the term crush lightly. Lol

Because it fluctuates every second. Frequency, heat, and box size all make it change to where you can't calculate it on an ongoing basis. Okay, thanks man.

Why not?
