  1. I'm looking at doing a single 8" Tang Band: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-854 I need a quote for a ported, downfiring box. I'd like something that's "pancake-like" if possible; something similar to this: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_32841_Pioneer-TS-SWX251.html?from=1-49 Shipping zip code is 66523. Thanks.

Just wondering if you got my last PM about the 4 6.5's? If not let me know and I'll resend it.

I never had seasonal allergies until I was an adult. The neti pot has been a savior.

The Walking Dead Just about anything on The History Channel Regular Show (pretty much just short 15 minute episodes, but it's hilarious)

I have no idea on tuning. Something for daily listening to just about everything. This is going in an SUV, but I'd like to keep it as small as possible without it sounding like ass. I've seen positive reviews for everything from .5 to 1 cube. I did try this calculator and came up with an internal volume of 0.384 cubic feet tuned to 34.75 hz. I'm not sure how accurate it is though. http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=17
  7. I've decided that my days of trying to rattle windows and shake off mirrors are over, plus I get tired of having to take the box out whenever I need the room. Now all I'm wanting is a little bottom end to my music. What I've been looking at is some of the cheaper, smaller subs on Parts Express. I'm trying to figure out if it would be better to try and fit a single sub up front somewhere (under the seat, etc) or do multiple subs in the back in the spare tire well? The only thing that concerns me about subs in the spare tire well is that since they are so small and so far back, there won't be much output all the way up front (maybe this thinking is wrong ). I plan on doing some measuring later this afternoon to see what I can fit and where, but I was hoping someone could chime in with a little direction first. Thoughts?

    Small sub(s) in SUV.

I was thinking about trying something above one of the rear tire wells but didn't know how side firing would affect the output. I have a 2008 Saturn Vue, so it's on the smaller side of the SUV's.

    Small sub(s) in SUV.

I was looking at the Hi-Vi a while back when it was on sale. Should have bought it because it was a killer price. Right now I'm running a single 10" Orion XTR. It has plenty of output and the box is fairly small (just under a cube) but we still run out of room pretty quickly if we do grocery shopping and such.

Help us welcome Alerion Enclosures to the forum!

Nice work and killer prices. I might be in need of something in the near future.

I'm wondering if you can do this? Looking for a ported enclosure for a single Tang Band W8-740P http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-854 . Nothing fancy...regular charcoal carpet, no flush mount, regular port, etc. This will be going in a Saturn Vue but I'd like to keep the size as small as possible without hurting performance. I listen to just about everything. I need to get some stuff sold first, so right now I'm just trying to plan out my budget. Zip code is 66523. Thanks a lot.

    Donations for my Mom's 3-day 60mi walk? :)

Just donated. I also found out tonight that one of my Lieutenants on the fire department has been diagnosed with Leukemia. He leaves tomorrow for more testing.

    Photo storage.

Thanks for the help. I'm going to stop and pick up an external hard drive after work tomorrow so I can at least get started.

    Photo storage.

My wife has a ton of pics on her computer. It's been acting funny lately and I want to get them off there in case it ends up crashing. What type of storage should I be looking at: online or external hard drive? If online, what are some of the better sites? I do have Photobucket, but I just use it for pics of things I'm selling and stupid stuff (memes, etc).

    Photo storage.

Exactly. We have LOTS of photos of our daughter, my brother's wedding, vacations, holidays, etc.

It's decently fast. I mainly want it for backup/being able to access them when I want to. I'm also starting to dabble in photography as a hobby.
  20. I recieved my invoice two weeks ago and paid the same day. I haven't gotten any shipping information and Andrew hasn't responded to any of my messages. I know he's been pretty busy and I'm not mad, just trying to find out when my enclosure will get here. Has anyone had any contact with him lately?

    Staying motivated.

As the title states, I was just wondering how you all stay motivated when it comes to working out? I enjoy exercising, but it just seems like life gets in the way too often and I can't keep my motivation up and stick with a routine. As of now I haven't done a workout for probably two months. Don't get me wrong, I don't just sit around on my ass all day. I have a very physically demanding job, and I'm the one that does the majority of the housework (because I'm anal about how it's done ). I've had back problems for the last 11 or 12 years and gave up on weights several years ago, as I kept hurting myself. I turned to kettlebells and bodyweight, and a neurologist that I saw for my back told me to do Pilates. My main problem, I believe, is that I tend to overthink the routines I'm doing. I'm NOT a morning person and have never been able to get into an early morning workout, and by the time afternoon or evening rolls around I'm busy doing other things or exercising has completely slipped my mind. Anyway, enough of my rambling pitty party. Any suggestions for staying motivated, getting into and sticking with a routine, etc? My wife, daughter and I are planning on going to the ocean at the end of June (the first time for all three of us) and I want to be in shape for it.

    Staying motivated.

Not really. Still trying to get myself motivated but I just feel so run down lately. I don't know if it's work or what. Sitting here typing this and all I want to do is take a nap. I'm working on cleaning up my diet too. Trying to phase out processed foods, sugars, etc. It's slow going but I'm determined to do it. The biggest non-specific thing, is just making it part of your routine on a daily basis. Just going and doing 25 minutes of light weights or moderate cardio is far better then not going. Find a good time that fits your schedule (for me I go every day at lunch and push as hard as I can for 55 minutes). So even if you are thinking about going, just go. The more you do, the more it becomes automatic and easy. I'm trying to make it a habit of getting up earlier (I need to start getting to bed earlier too ). With my back problems I'm usually pretty sore in the morning, so I want to start doing some light pilates or yoga, and hopefully that will get me "loosened up" enough to move onto something else. Thanks for checking up on me. This should be a group effort. Can you go after work? I only work three days a week. Twelve hour days of extreme physical labor followed by a 45 minute drive home really doesn't set me up to be in the mood for a workout. All I want to do is shower, eat and sleep. On the other hand, I've got 4 days that I could be working out, so I really have no excuse.
