Yep, the DCON 10" is at the top of my list. That way I'll have enough money left over to get a really nice ported box made for it.
-
I know I saw a thread about this a while back, but can't seem to find it. I think I remember reading about a 8" DCON prototype. Whatever happened to this? Was it a flop or was there just not the market for it? I know I'd jump all over a pair if they became available.
-
This was a while back. Can't remember when it was though.
-
Very nice. The DCON is still at the top of my list for my next purchase.
-
Still does. I'm still trying to decide if I want to get a new sub/subs or get a really nice custom ported box for this thing.
-
I'm not sure, but I think it might be. It's about 5 or 6 years old. And yes, it does get damn loud for a single sub. It's the only sub that I've ever got to actually make my rearview mirror move out of place, and the box is sealed. I'd love to hook it up to my HT, but I don't have the time to build a box for it. I'll probably sell it when I get my new sub(s).

Looks good. I really like the paint job.
-
What's it going in and what kind of power? Looks good so far.
-
I can has your skillz? Looks nice. Thanks for this. It's reading things like this that are really making me lean more and more towards the DCON.

This. I have... I haven't seen much.

That box is just sick.
-
This.

Also keep in mind that a 2x4 isn't actually 2" x 4". But use the same formula with the actual measurements of the wood and it'll work. I thought of this. Thanks.

When does the size of an enclosure start to be too big and start affecting performance? The reason I'm asking is because I was thinking of using the current box I have (it's for a 12") and building a faceplate for it, so I can fit a 10" in it. The box 1.21 cubic feet. I was looking at the 10" Icon, but after displacement there's still about .19 cubic feet extra. Is this too much extra volume?

WHO WOULD WIN? SSA XCON 18" VS FI BTL 18" VS digital designs D

I know I don't. I have heard systems that sound pretty good, but as far as a "SQ" built system, I have no clue. -
That's some nasty flex on that Explorer.

LI-12 or SA-12? which one better for me?
Dan208 replied to Tony Nelson's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Hmmmm. (Sorry for the thread hijack. ) -
I may because I'm leaning towards the Z-12's If you decide to sell around mid to late July, let me know. I might take one of them off your hands, if they are dual 4's. I'm not too far from Wichita (maybe two hours), so I could come pick it up.

Thank you.
-
Yes. How do you figure how much volume these would take up? It's a prefab box, so some bracing inside probably wouldn't hurt anything.

Memorial Day. Thankyou to all our past and present soldiers from IA

x2. Nothing but respect from me for the men and women of the armed forces. -
Yeah, I just thought maybe someone had some past experience with them. I might try and bump my budget up for the Icon. I blew my previous custom 10" a while back and I'm waiting for a recone. When I get it back, if I can get it sold, then the Icon will probably be my choice.

Just tossing around some ideas. This isn't a "which sub is best" thread. I'm wanting peoples opinions on these subs: Pioneer Premier Champion Pro Series DB Drive Platinum Series Alpine Type-R RE Audio SEX Soundstream Reference Series Like I said, I'm just looking for peoples opinions on these.

That's awesome.
