So it rained last night and washed the truck, nice clean new windshield. So I walk out this morning to find that a bird(s) had crapped twice on the windshield. Where they crapped couldn't have been more perfectly placed with the Norden bomb sight, once directly over where I look out, and once directly where the passenger looks out. It was as if they were saying to me 'Well shit on you buddy'.

Congrats on the marriage and getting your kids this far in life.

Main problem of the Sako is parts are almost non existant and if found expensive as hell I do believe.

There is a reason stocks that look the same are different prices... I'd be tempted to go with a Whiskey 3.

It shouldn't have been pressurized with the car off. The degas bottle should bleed all the pressure off. It wasn't full pressure, but there was some head behind it when I pulled the hose off, ~140* coolant came shooting out at my hand with me perched up on the grill guard. Resulted in a stream of pleasant words.

On the topi cof throttle bodies, when I pulled the one off my truck I was a dumbass and didn't depressureize the coolant and burned my hand when I accidently pulled the line off.

I know the throttle body is held on with them, but the air box?

Inverting the Subs - Plexi-Glass Box Side (one side)
topgun replied to xiihustleix's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Just an FYI: For drilling hard plastics/acrylics, etc, etc, use a drill bit with a 60* point, it will help prevent the cracking upon drilling through the surface and better chip extraction. You can buy them from places like McMaster Carr. A few good drill bits will pay for themselves in short order rather than scrapping a piece of plexi. Also use a drill press with power feed when possible, that'll eliminate all issues coupled with a 60* drill point. Another note since we are talking about plexiglass. After cutting take a MAPP/Propane torch and heat the cut ends and it will remelt them and glass over for a more professional look. Now don't hold the torch there for to long otherwise you'll have bigger issues. -
I normally marinate then throw it on the ole Egg, always turns out juicy.

Then something like 65% of the livestock within 600miles, but hey, accidents never happen. Oh, it'll bring jobs though they say, it is still something that needs to be put back on Plum Island. If you haven't guessed, I have an opinion one way.

You want work? I've got extra. Yes. I loath Kansas though. I was lost there once. Christmas eve day after a white out. I was redirected and lost 8 hours on a trip basically. I can forgive it though with all the lack of people and places to shoot shit that is far away. There are some good looking women here... I will agree though, Kansas isn't the best state. Don't worry, we are getting the NBAF germ lab right here in the smack dab middle of the livestock industry. Nothing like putting 10% of the countries livestock within 200miles of where they are researching foot and mouth and all sorts of good stuff.

To be fair though, that truck has been in our family since it was brandy new so all the problems its ever had were experienced in the family. I has to be close to 200k now though and never had diddly squat done to engine/transmission/rearend though.

Its been years since I've beat on cars... I don't even have my Cadillac anymore to get acceleration, stuck with 185hp of roaring 5.0 fury. lol Hey now.... it could be a GM! there are people out there forced to drive those!! Rofl. True. The '91 5.7 GM I had for awhile was anything but short of power though, it was a factory freak. Aside from the severe lack of power, the truck drives quite well and the interior is pretty nice. Not like the GM where the doors don't shut properly, radio crapped out, steering column had to be taken apart and rebuilt since the lock plate came loose, and the odometer died umpteen years ago. I don't think the lack of power is quite all the anemic engines fault though, I do believe she is running pig rich sometimes. There is quite a bit of black soot forming around the exhaust tip so I'm thinking it needs plugs, vacuum leaks checked, and the catalytic converters are clogged and need 'fixed'.

Isn't yours a lease though? Isn't that close enough to someone elses?

Scotch tape over them, or if black out, electrical tape.

Buys you a stop or two, that's it. And sometimes thats what I need to make my life easier.

And to think they now have DSLR's that'll run ISO 25,000+ with quality like I use to get out of Ilford 3200. What technology gets us.

I assume Hutch, MN and not KS.

For some aspects, image stabilization can overcome some ISO definition, ability to handhold at 1/20 sec with great focus is pretty awesome. I use to be able to handhold that low, but it sure as hell took two hands and paying attention.

The zero shutter lag is the main killer for most camera it seems like. Every person and their brother seems to have a 'manual' mode that allows change of the goodies, but what kills it for me most of the time is lack of high ISO usability. I would love to be able to run good quality at ISO 3200+, but that sure isn't going to happen with an F5.6 zoom lens.
