For bullseye pistol you will drop probably a minimum of 3k on a 1911. For a gun to carry/do classes with, a bullseye gun isn't what you want.

Dryfire. Mix in snap caps to a magazine/cylinder. Have someone else load where you can't see it and you shoot like its going to fire, but you don't know if it is live or not.

Learning how to shoot people while they shoot back, room clearing, threat response, etc. I've used the gas powered airsoft guns, simunition rounds are to hard to get a hold of and expensive.

I suck at multiplayer call of duty. Now the force on force training I've done was awesome.

Don't forget CZ pistols either. Also, if you are new to pistols, no way in the world would I spend 1k+ on one. Buy something cheap and reliable, like a used Gen2 Glock, and spend the rest on ammo and training, not just going bang down at the range or into a dirt pile, something that'll teach you and show you what needs done. THEN after you have a foundation of knowledge, minimum of 1k rounds, go about selling, buying, and getting items modified.
