Tucson has enough sloots to keep new content all the time? J It's not targeted toward Tucson. It grabs images off other blogs and tumblr accounts (avoiding copyright issues), posts to my site, then submits the images and my site url to other sites for traffic. They see the tits on tumblr, reddit, stumbleupon, sex.com, etc and they click the image/link back to my site. From there I get earnings off ads. If that works, hell even just monthly beer money...

Really I think it boils down to what one is confident with their ability of and wants to do with it later on down the line. If you can shoot and get everything you need in .jpg, all a RAW image is going to do is eat into your profits by needing more memory cards, better computer, and more external storage and offsite backup capabilities.

On the disc we got from the photog we had ~3.x gb of digital media on .jpgs?

When you are shooting well into 4 digits of pictures on weddings, RAW files get huge, and space to store them gets pretty huge too. I'm guessing ~120 files/gb of storage starts to add up.

You can batch process RAW files. My wedding photog shoots in .jpg for the fact file size is smaller but she has to make sure to get the exposure right the first time since there is no saving it later.

Same boat here. Done lots of reading and not enough shooting.I Haven't shot diddly since high school. Did 10 years of photography and photo judging through 4h growing up, took top at state and nothing since. That was all film except for just a bit though.

50$ for the wheels, went to Menards and paid 90$ for a 6" grinder to put them on. I've sharpened a couple of folding knives on it and am just impressed. Next week I'll sharpen my chisels and some lathe tools on it. I got the wheels from Grizzly's website, if you follow the link there are a ton of vendors that sell this thing.

But really, you are going to jump from a 18-135 kit lens to a 50mm 1.8, huge change and you'll notice the difference. If you buy the cheaper one and don't like it, you'll get your money back out. Oh and QUIT PIXEL PEEPING.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

50mm of course but what about a cheaper lens than the high end canon prime, You don't need and really won't see the benefits from the high end so why get it first when you can drop so much less money to get your goal. http://www.amazon.com/Canon-50mm-1-8-Camera-Lens/dp/B00007E7JU I am waffling on the 1/4 or 1/2. right now I have have so many shots wrecked because of lower light. So I could benefit from either. If you do start pixel peeping, the 1/2 and 1/4 are really close. The build quality of the 1/8 is really bad, and is extremely hard to use. The focus ring is a bitch. I may not have such a hard time with using the 1/4. But I got to use the 1/2 and even not knowing too much about photography it is built better. Other solution is get a better body and bump that ISO up to combat the low light.
