    Welcome to the IHoP

It all depends on what you want. I suggest reading the manual if you can't figure it out, it'll tell you peak voltage, true RMS, relative dB levels, it'll calculate audio power (you tell it what the impedence is), and other cool stuff. If you just want to tell when clipping is all you need to see is the waveform.

The velleman hand held o-scope from parts express is cool. Got that, the multimeter that came with it, couple sovetek 12ax7 tubes, line wrap for cables, 4 sets of Esoteric audio/video cables, jacket strippers, two different sets of wire strippers, and a pair of small side cutters. Its like christmas

Welding for one of the Civil Professors tonight, should be interesting 15$ an hour for easy money (I think). Getting another PE box in tonight, pics up when I get it all in. Got one of the MAW15's in the basement last night, ~2.3 ft^3 sealed, corner loaded. After I boosted the signal level to the sub amp enough that way it put out power it was alright. The low, low movie effects need some help, but above about ~35hz it gets just downright wicked on music. I'm debating on porting them low now becasue I want the movie output rather than the music type output. Ahhh problems, problems. Overall it isn't to bad of a sub setup for what I paid for it so far, needs tweaking, but I knew it would. I'm pleased with the MAW so far though.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I have 2 MAW 15's for it. I was planning on running stereo bass with the maggies so the subs would be right beside the planars.

How much bigger than 2.2 cubes stuffed would you go?

    Welcome to the IHoP

Need some opinion for the substage in the basement, 2.2 cubes sealed for each driver, stereo bass. Do I want forward firing, or downward firing? I've never had any luck with anything but downward firing setups but then I've always had wimpy drivers.

    Welcome to the IHoP

eff the bass, sometimes I want to pull my sub out so I can say I don't have any just for that reason If I wouldn't use the Maggies for movies, I wouldn't have a sub setup with them. But since I am using them for movies in addition to music...

Oh and a BIB that is 6'3" tall, 28.5" deep, and 19" wide is HUGE, I've got most of the wood cut (it takes 5 sheets total for a pair of them), I'm questioning my sanity more and more.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Got my MAW 15's in, perfect shape from SSA shop none the less. I even got a business card from Aaron and stickers too! Now that I see how truly big a 15" woofer is (I've only owned up to 12" woofer before), I'm beginning to question my sanity as wanting to put two of them in the basement is going to be ungodly amounts of overkill. Pics will come later when I get more time. Also got some Fostex FT17 tweets in too, very sexy.

I mean they are high output party speakers that are going to be knocked around just due to the shear size of them and the fact they will be moved alot. They might even end up down here in the shop too, who knows.

They're ALL bad. If you want a TRUE square board, buy a choice 1x6 or 8 piece of pine or hardwood. The edge just isn't to bad, but it dosen't matter I figured out a way to use the table saw.

pick of the litter 2x4's aren't too bad.

    Welcome to the IHoP

There is to much crap around the table saw here at work to rip full sheets of plywood on it so it looks like I get to cut out my big arse BIB's with a skill saw and a 2x4 guide. First enclosure I've built without a table saw.
