wait, you bribe your customs officer with cartoons? well, i have to get around the fees... Seems like a kickass arrangement to me.

Crap, I just had the idea of putting four of the 3" TB's per side and porting them in a mini array type thingy. Hmmmm
-
fudge it, No sub for now on the computer.
-
fudge me Sideways. Them woofers won't work, time to go poke around PE and find some more cheapo's.
-
No, the mini is not being slammed. If you read a little closer he stated that the wall in the Explorer was taken out so he could bag it, NOT the mini. Just keep this civil.

The name is Ryan. Pick what ya want and I'll build it for ya...

So far its looking like my computer speaker parts list is... 2 3" TB full range drivers 2 6.5" Paper Cone woofers from PE (El Cheapo ones) 1 70w Plate amp Including some cabinet spikes for the woofer box, a roll of vinyl laminate, and one or two odds 'n ends it comes out 107$ (without shipping). I was going to use one of their little 30w amp kits on PE, but I remembered I've got a extra receiver sitting around at home that I will use instead. The 3" Mids will be in an 1/4wave enclosure, I figured on doing it at their FS (110hz) so thats puts it at 2.56', and I was guessing lightly stuff the whole length. The woofers will be sealed in an Isobarik alignment with the 70w plate amp.

Nice parts washer.

Bah, I'm looking for a 12VAC 2A Transformer (wall wart type) and the only place I've been able to find one is Digikey, PE doesn't carry them, might have to try radioshaft.

Currently pursuing operation cheap ass computer speakers. I'm digging around PE for something that intrigues me. I shall post my findings when I'm done.

Although it appears they do have some nice looking stuff.

Dang, that stuff is expensive. Thanks for the info, but I think I'll find a different solution for this project.

LOL @ Ryan1's comment.

Thats the idea... but who wants to buy ugly ass speaker? Plus, I want to play with laminate for chits and giggles.

Random thought: The fact that the Romans could build the Pont Du Gard aqueduct in general impresses me, but the fact that it has an accurate slope of 1:3000 simply stuns me. And build the thing out of unmortared stone.
-
I think if I did them all the same color it would look to huge and imposing.

Think I've decided how to finish my BIB's. Its got a double front baffle just where the speakers are. Do the second baffle in Cherry laminate, the rest of the front baffle in Beech laminate to set off the cherry. On the sides do Cherry laminate, but with a 4" strip of Beech running up the center to break up the huge slab of a side. Then a solid cherry back. Needless to say this is going to be the cheap laminate from PE, but I think it will work for what it is. 2'x18' roll for under 20 bucks. Ideas?

Anyone know if they make veneer wider than 24"? Maybe 36"?
