Hmmm, interesting. Should be fun to play with. Time to head to the high-school to use their woodshop for some work. Its nice being on good terms with your former woodshop instructor, 3 years out of HS and I can still go in and use the machines when I want to and he dosen't mind. Got to go trim my baffles in red oak so they will look good when I hit them with the round-over bit.

something with an arse ton of midbass lol I don't know diddly about these drivers, but they were on sale so I decided wth, merry christmas to myself. So they put out decent midbass eh?
-
So whos got an idea for using 6 of the Mach 5 audio 6.5" drivers?
-
Thanks guys. More pictures to be coming later, have the stuff to paint and doing the front baffles today too I hope.
-
Just ordered 6 of the Mach 5 mids, not a clue what I'm going to do with them though.

These things seriously belong in a small rave club.

Got techno playing on the BIB's, it gives me the urge to build a set using 15's, with a second one mounted on the baffle on a lowpass filter for an extra boost on the low end.

That was a hell of a night.

I say go big, and go low.

That should be able to be done for around $150-$200, right? What sort of improvements would I see by adding that? Shouldn't be a problem, basically the cooler you can keep computer components, the longer they will live is the main part. The RAM I would get from www.newegg.com, RAM is fairly cheap and you should notice an improvement in speed, the ability to multitask better, shorter startup time, etc.

Damn, its cold outside.

Build log updated.

Interesting...

My roommate has one of the cooling pads and it works decently. I'd put more RAM in it if I was you, 2x 1gig sticks would probably work wonders on it.

Box two current state... Box one backside, waiting on binding posts, etc.
-
Current state of box #2 Current state of box #1 Things left to do are finish gluing up #2, and then trim my front baffle in real white oak so when I do a roundover on it it will look good and won't have any plywood endgrain showing. The front baffle is Oak veneer ply, that is going to be done in a medium dark walnut stain with triple coats of tung oil, then the rest of the box will be piano black finish.

Yep, they actually do work, and in your case it sounds like it would be a good investment.

Pentiums run fairly hot anyway don't they? My vote goes for either bad memory or needs a bigger PSU, but I'd bet on the memory.
