Comcast is our cable company. I get 30Mbps down and 8Mbps up and home phone for 62.00 a month, just internet would have been $10 more. So for the savings I have a home phone. I know it makes no sense. I will not give up my directv, even though I fight with them a lot over pricing. I have TWC at my apartment and I pay $60/mo for 100 Mb/s lol. I'm paying 45$ for 5Mb/s. My work connection is ~700Mb/s down and up, seen it as high as 950.

My two match pistols are worth more than any of the vehicles I've had so far. Now they just sit in a case, really need to start that back up again.

I bought one of the 50" Wal-Mart tv's for 220$, it actually has pretty decent picture.

Budget? 3-400 including amp. Ok, then you are on the right page. I suck at budget builds. No, you just suck at not going all Captain Overkill on them.

I built a set of AviaTrix for mains and an additional one for center channel the other year for my brother. I really like them, I just about didn't give them to him after I tried them out. I see they now lump it as a kit which is nice. http://www.parts-express.com/aviatrix-sealed-mtm-components-only-speaker-kit-pair--300-704

I still have the factory HU in both of my vehicles. One of these days I'll swap out my trucks so I can plug in the phone.

Christmas makes me feel like I hemorrhage money. I'm really not since there is a pile of cash set aside for it, but it still feels that way.

Nothing very hard, scraping the stinking gasket material off took more time than anything.

Seth, Thanks for the advice on the timing chain cover gasket on the GM 3.1L. It took 6-7 hours including making a new jacking screw for the puller, the one we had was to long, and an adapter for pressing the balancer back on. It seems to have fixed the problem and now working well.

I have to laugh at a R&R statement on a mic for measuring crimp connectors. Instant way to peg someone who measures things for a living.

If non-insul crimps are available, simply crimp, solder, then heat shrink. I have taken to using non-insul butt connectors/solder/shrink for all inline repair. If all you can get are insul crimps, just use a small sharp knife to remove the insul. I like this "overkill" method. Do I assume you tin, crimp and then just solder over the whole crimped area? Fastenal here carries some heat shrink tube with epoxy on the inside that is pretty darn tough stuff.

Crimp with a real set of crimpers, not a cheap-o set.
