Debating on selling my xbox 360, never play the damn thing.

Then there is some political bull shit that I shouldn't go into on public domain that just pisses me off, but its a university setting and that kind of thing happens.
-
It pisses me off that I worked and spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Instron to get a price quote of exactly what I wanted to retrofit the turret press that had the digital front end burn up last month and now it looks like we aren't going that route because can't get the damn money. The money is there we just can't get it. Fuckers. The salesman just emailed me wanting to come and look at the machine and talk with me but now I have to tell him that there is no need to make the trip since we aren't going that route and it was a waste of time.

I plan on doing a 2 chan in every room of the house, outside and in the garage. I am SURE at LEAST one will be a nice big huge fostex horn set up. =) Yes! Another Fostex convert. Come over to the dark side and join us...

School Career Fair was today, went to talk to one of the guys that my dad went to college with (mechanical engineering), its always nice to get a blanket job offer for anytime you need one, you've got one. Didn't even go looking for a job, just to talk, he offered me a job last summer too. Perfectly happy with my job situation currently though and don't see it changing either. He does Auto-X to in a modified Camaro and talking to him made me want to racing the Cadillac. Damn shocks and struts need replaced otherwise I would do it.

My roommate is the most annoying drunk ever.

Headin to bed too. Did something wrong when working on the Cadillac, got done and my right hip was hurting something fierce and could hardly walk, finally got better this evening. It'd better not act up tomorrow.

they go on the side rather than on top? nifty Indeed, they are 2cycle engines with holes in the side of the block that it blows into.

100$ for the brand new water pump from the Cadillac stealership, 50$ for a rebuilt one from an autoparts store but everything I read said nothing but a brand new one works... Another 25$ for the specialty tool to get the actual water pump out, 15$ for the new belt and cover plate gasket. All in all I ended up spending ~200$ and 3hrs. The book time is 3hrs so it isn't to bad, hate to see what a dealer would charge to change it. The actual work is fairly easy, I took plenty of time and didn't hurry anything. I could have been done in almost half the time if the back bolt holding the cover plate on wasn't hidden behind the biggest wire bundle EVER. In order to change it you have to pull a belt cover off (its driven off the front bank's top camshaft), loosen the belt, pull the tensioner pulley off to remove the belt. Next you unbolt four bolts to get the front plate off, insert your special do-hicky thing-a-ma-jog tool into the hole, get 'er lined up and push like hell; it's an 1/8 turn cam-lock on the water pump. After that it'll just pull right out, clean the plates and o-ring spots up, stick the new water pump in the same way it came out and bolt it all back together and your ready to run. $100 for a GM water pump isn't terrible, that's cheaper than one for an LT1 Thankfully they didn't do something as stupid as putting the water pump right above a damn optispark...

The only superchargers that we have at home are bolted on the side of 6-71 Detroits.

Better be able to find all the parts and get it done in the morning, suppose to rain this afternoon.
-
Soon as the coffee is done I'm off to go find parts and see what kind of $$$ I'm going to be out for a water pump on a Northstar.
-
Borrowed my roommates truck for tomorrow so I can run around, get tools, hopefully find a water pump and get the damn car up and running again.

Women... Never trust anything that bleeds for a week and doesn't die.
-
From what I can find the Northstars don't like anything but OEM replacement water pumps so hopefully I can find one at the GM dealership. Can't find a parts store that has one here, and I need the car by saturday.
-
Fuck me. Water pump is out on the Cadillac.

Fixed an alternator on a '91 Civic. Pain in the arse.
