Where should I put my aeroports?

Make 'em longer and stick them out the top some...

Why can't you just change the length of the Aeros?

    Welcome to the IHoP

Then if you are damn good with a bolt gun and have one set up right you can run a bolt gun at about 90% of the speed of a AR at engaging long distance targets.

That sounds good. If it was me picking up that AR-10 I'd get a flat top and put some nice glass on top of it. But I don't know what you plan on using it for, my use would be anything out to 800yrds. exactly the same! I want Semi auto and not retarded long range but 800 is about what I am looking for. I really like the SASS system, but thats a fair amount to throw down. As you call it, there is a bunch of "tacticrap" on it too. Really nice set up though. My personal choice would be about a 22" fluted heavy bull barrel, target crown, two stage match trigger, upgraded adjustable stock, flat top, bi-pod, and a matte blued finish if I could get it. Then for the tacticool crap I'd get one in .223, 16" barrel, aimpoint, light, tactical sling, collapsible stock, etc.

And why couldn't I have done a simple stick a CD player in the Cadillac and be done with it, would have made life so much easier...

I vote asymmetric as its always stronger. Damn it Sean... Your ideas got me into trouble in the first place and ended up with me sticking 3" drivers in the damn dash. I was actually just being a dick. There isn't any asymmetric strength difference, I just don't agree with the "don't ask me why" you stated above. Function before form! the don't ask me why was becuase if it wasn't going to be symmetric it would just look funny to me, just the way I tick on that thing. I am a little worried about cutting out metal from the center of the deck lid though, even if I build a brace for the entire thing...

    Welcome to the IHoP

Somewhat worried about flexing on the rear deck if I cut a 12" hole in it so I'm thinking of a couple of different options. A: Cut the hole, put it in the center, and weld up a structural support spanning the entire deck and bolt it to the existing deck to stiffen it up *Not sure about this idear either* B: Put the sub in the corner where one of the rear speakers are and expand that hole *Don't want to do because then it would be off center and I don't want it off centered* C: Put two subs in it where the back speakers are so its even *yes, its got to be symmetric, don't ask me why* D: Mount them in the trunk and not on the deck which I don't want to do since the trunk is sealed off fairly well.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Once I get the interior sound done and every thing working the way I want it I'll look more into the exhaust side of it but that's a ways off still. I've still got another 60+ sq ft of deadening to put in it and then I'll see where its at on the interior noise level. Still have to make an amp rack for it, and mount a 12" mag in the rear deck whenever that gets here.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I want something with a little bit of tone to it, but I do NOT want it to end up sounding like a damn truck so I'm torn on it. I've found a couple different setups I really like but they are expensive.

I'd like to put a new set of mufflers on the Cadillac but I can't justify 300$ for that when I need to put new struts and shocks on it...

    Welcome to the IHoP

So you got exhaust done on the truck, got that fixed, now you've got a NEW exhaust setup on it?

Time to lock up the shop, put the books back in the bag, head back to the house, crack open a beer and resume studying. Probably going to have to the liquor store to find some decent beer first.
