Got the serial cable ordered so I can control the DCX unit from my front seat. The 12v PS and serial cable should be in by the end of the week and it should be up and running by sunday.

Feels like I'm old. My lower back and hips have been bothering me lately and every morning I wake up I hurt just getting out of bed.

Unless you've got 5k minimum to throw at a play toy of a Ranger I'd stay away from it for now.

Get an F150 He wants better mileage, not to burn up the money in maintenance. LOL, my GM has cost me about 10x in maintenance for 1/3 the miles. Hmmm, we haven't had any GM vehicles that I can think of that we have had any real problems yet other than general maintenance.

A well maintained 1/2 ton with the 350 will get around 18mpg on the highway, depending on what it is (4x4, long bed, gearing, etc, etc) you could get 20mpg or so on the highway, but beyond that your pretty well screwed. You've got a 5,000-5,800lb truck that is a flying brick down the highway with a 350ci V8 in it... In your dreams. Everyone I know with a non-LS Chev is lucky to get 15, and that is downhill with backwind. Ya'll suck for milage then, my roommate will get 18mpg on the highway with 220,000 on a 90 1/2 ton. He is mathematically challenged or drives 45. I've done quick figures in my head before and he is pretty close on the math, he does drive like an old woman but he excedes the speed limit on the highways. Pure highway miles is not that uncommon to get 16mpg+, now if your driving in town your mileage is pretty well f'ed.

Found out that the other night my roommate was leaving a party and was walking home alone and 3 blocks from the house a Jeep went past him, turned around, and parked a block behind him. Two guys got out and started following him, he started walking faster and then they broke into a jog, my roommate proceeded to start sprinting to the house, got here and locked the door behind him. Needless to say that doesn't make me want to walk alone but if I'm not drinking I'm sure as hell carrying a form of defense.

Things got interesting when he started trying to Joust one of my former roommates with a mop handle, until the guy got tired of being poked with a stick then folded him up like a pretzel in the corner until he agreed to calm down. Roommate is still passed out on the couch, he was tanked last night.

Fucking Toyotas are a piece of shit. Friend has that Corolla that I was talking about the other day, replaced the battery and discovered that it had taken out two fuses +unknown other electrical components that I haven't found yet. The car starts now but has no power locks, dash lights, turn signals, brake lights, etc, etc.
