Ahh, the two sides of the laptop world. A big brawny T-61P Lenovo for running CAD, and a 'cute' little ultra mobile...

Would like to mount a Sony Bravia on one wall and have it fold flat against another, but the ability to pull out into a doorway far enough to watch TV on from the office. This will be the third TV mount arm I've made.

Going to start making a 46" LCD tv mount at work, with about a 4' long swing arm and 180* turning radius... Pictures will be posted when done.

Yep, I use to own the EP2500, notice I said use to. Honestly, they are not bad 'budget' amps, but for not to much more money you can buy a QSC that is better quality all around. The quality between the two is just like comparing apples to oranges on QSC and Behringer. For sub duty they aren't bad, but I wouldn't use them for anything else personally. Just go for some QSC amps, big fan of the Powerlight series personally.

Worked on making a headphone stand today, should be done thursday, pics will be posted when finished. Don't know if it'll turn out looking well but I'm tired of only doing paint or just wood so I combining walnut, flat black, and a black rubber coating.

We would just like to make sure that people stick around and contribute to the forum rather than using us for a FS board only. Also the pinned topics linked in the previous post. Or feel free to PM me or any of the other mod staff. -Thanks

did you get a solid state HD? i'm interested in how you like the dell because my room mate got an acer One which is essentially the same thing. Yep, got the 8gig SSD. First mods are going to be integrated GPS and another integrated USB 8gig flash drive in it for more storage. Then there is a good possibility that it might become a car-puter setup in the center console with an external HDD. Then I can have GPS, music, and control my DCX2496 all from the drivers seat and not have to use my good laptop for that incase someone were to try to steal it. I'd much rather loose 300$ rather than almost 2k$.

Sounds like you've got a heck of a project ahead of you. Any pictures of the badass 6.5L?

Sweet, Dell just called and confirmed my Inspiron 9 order, should have a mini netbook here tomorrow.

The movie Gran Torino is a pretty good movie.

If you are mount a sub box in a passenger cabin, I would use more than just a few self tapping sheet metal screws. If you get in a wreck a 90lb box will just rip the screws right out. I would use a couple of bolts that are accessed from inside the box and have spreader plates on them (just a small plate to spread out the load to help reduce the chance of it pulling out in a wreck), and have them accessible from the inside of the box.

Sounds like you are progressing along nicely, any more pictures of your work? And to answer your previous question, you can use the power from the harness, but in my car I have to run the 12v constant from the battery for it to work right. I would also find a new ground rather than go to the harness just to make sure its good.

I've used Raamat in my Cadillac, and it seems to work well for the price. If you are going to do deadening, I would recommend doing as much as you can, pulling seats out, carpet up, trim off, etc, etc. You will thank yourself in the long run. Its easier to do it once right than have to do it two or three times.
