Going to have to do just a touch of machine work on the receiver though on my rifle.

Personally, before you do anything with subs I would put a new front stage setup in with rather some rather beefy mids. A well done front stage alone will be night and day difference and you might be pleasantly surprised how much low end a good set of 6.5's will have. Is there a budget for this project?

Hmm, figured out how I'm going to do trigger work on one of my rifles just now. I have a CZ-452 in .17HMR (kickass rifle, btw), and rather than pay 80+ for a new drop in trigger I'm going to make it adjustable creep, over travel, and lighten the pull. Also looking into glass bedding the stock and possibly making a aluminum muzzle brake (yes, I know, its a .17, but I have reasons).

Haven't gotten crap done tonight...

Have you done anything to the stock speakers in the car yet?

I forgot to hook the antenna back up to the HU in the car when I redid the mount, haven't missed it for two weeks yet. That includes driving 600mi or more in that time span too.

I'm not sure the words 'good' and 'radio station' should be uttered in the same sentence without a negative in there.

Personally, I'd rather bang my date for prom.

Check all wiring, make sure you have good connections (ground too), and check/reset the gain with an o-scope if possible.

That should be an indication of something isn't quite right. Properly functioning and operating equipment doesn't blow fuses on its own.

.308 FTW if you want to shoot foreign surplus look at S&B, fiocchi, priv partizan. same price range as wolf/bear and you get legit brass without skimping on velocity and accuracy. i use breakfree clp for everything gun related but i'm not very oil and solvent savvy so i just stuck with what my ffl/ammo guy recommended. There is really not any foreign surplus left...

Considering this you should never, ever answer a thread on this forum. stop being a dick to everyone on this forum...u said earlier in another thread that this isnt CA.com..well ur acting just like MOST CA.com mods do.and ur making alot of people that r trying to learn feel like complete dumbasses.. No, Sean is not like the ca.com moderators. He actually gives a chit about things, knows what he is talking about, and will help you if you ask an intelligent question rather than post one word replies. i can tell that he knows alot about car audio..ill give him that but he can come off as a dick to some of the newer members..i have really noticed this the past few days and its getting under my skin...i understand that patience can sometimes grow thin but people WILL ALWAYS post dumb threads but still should not be treated like chit because of it... If that's the way you feel you will probably not like it here then; that's just how they operate In case you didn't realize... More than one person on this forum that is a long time member works in a technical field and solves/works on/with real problems (real expensive ones depending on the person...) and in those jobs you don't get real answers unless you ask real questions. It is a lot easier to give suggestions/recommendations for a problem if you know exactly what the person wants, its impossible to give a good answer to a vague as hell question.

*scrolls up* Yep, AR-10.... *doh*

Is this in 5.56NATO, .223, or .308? Can't remember, but I think its .308 isn't it?

By steel case you mean cheapo Wolf ammo? Personally I don't like it but it'll work fine. I can't say about which lube to use though, if the guys at the shop recommend it, I'd use it. If you run into feed problems, look into switching otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.

ARs will run best wet.

Its about breaking in the barrel. Some people swear by it, others think it is BS. There has never been any scientific proof to say that barrel break in process is beneficial, but it can't hurt. Some serious bench rest shooters will shoot one shot, clean the shit out of it, shoot another, clean, shoot, clean, shoot clean, for a dozen or so rounds then shoot a group of 20, then clean. And so on and so forth till they deem it 'broke in'. For your AR, just lube the shit out of the bolt (and I mean lube the shit out of it, almost drown it, no need to get the back, don't need it to go into the springs) and just shoot the crap out of it.

I just use a bandsaw here at work, a jigsaw will work too. Run a thin line of oil on the line you are going to cut, will help if you use a jigsaw.
