We were partying at a friends house during the 'earth hour' where you are suppose to turn everything off for a hour. We turned everything in the house on and cranked the stereo up.

Easter was last weekend here.

My ring is titanium. I find myself wearing it less and less. A really close friend of mine just buys rings that are made out of a brittle mettal. They are made to break. He still never wears it. Pisses the old lady off to no end. His job is with big shaker machines. Basicaly Huge speakers that just throw different Hz at things and shake the crap out of them untill they break. Then he trys to make it so it doesn't break. Sounds like a hell of a job. That sounds damn fun.

One of the guys I work with has a titanium wedding band, the jewelry lady was not impressed when he went in to get it cleaned and he had welding splatter on it from welding without gloves...
-
Hence why I never wear any jewelry when working...

My dad almost had his arm ripped off when his shirt sleeve got caught in a grain auger. Luckily the shirt just ripped off and he only had a few cuts and bruises. My stepdad had a finger torn off when it got caught in a chain in a hay baler. Farm accidents happen. Your dad is definitely lucky on that one. A local guy around home had his finger almost entirely ripped off when he jumped to get off a tractor his wedding band caught and his finger was hanging by a shred of skin, luckily they were able to reattach it for him though.

My brother works for Pella, and there is a pile of 4.5"x10' 3/32 veneer coming up for action this next week, going to see if we can get it on teh cheap. If not, more will come up later. Not a f'ing clue what I would do with it though, but I don't have a clue what I'm going to do with 900+ various old speakers in the folk's garage either, or the body armor plates I have, but fuck, its all been to good of a price not to acquire them.

So.... wtf would I do with ~1600sq ft of 3/32 Pine veneer?

Unless you are like Adrian who has to have stuff shipped across the puddle and pay customs fees.

ARE YOU RETARDED??? De de de... well i mean a little but if you have usps or ups get you a box they said it will be 70 fudgeing dollars.. FAWK that and they said ups shipping is going to be 70 dollars. usps said 10 It was a rhetorical question. i understood that.. but i figured i would still give you and answer. how much does it usually cost to ship an amp It all depends on how much it weighs, size, where you are shipping to, etc, etc. You are looking at at least 10-15 bucks, wouldn't think any more than 50 though.

Audiocomp Fonogel, IIRC. I'm assuming I can't find it here in the states, I googled it and didn't see any pages in English.

As I can see they are using some sort of modelling clay on the basket. Is that what you were thinking of doing for treatment ? Probably yes, but wasn't sure how well modeling clay would hold up in the heat they are exposed to in the dash. Possibly sound damping material (most likely some second skin brand). But what Dave (planet10) uses is a hardening paste that he shapes if I remember correctly. I played in the weekend with some material almost like modelling clay, non-hardening and it is designed for in-car use. As soon as I'm done with school I'm buying a can to have when I re-work my doors. If you want, I can send some material your way I would be interested in that.

Agreed. I'm just mad that PBR costs so much at the bars. The last time I bought a PBR in a bar was a few weeks ago while snowmobiling up North. I think I paid $1.25 for the bottle if you were to go into the urban areas it's more. MUCH more. I saw it selling for 5 bucks for a 16 oz can. Holy crap! People pay that much for a PBR pounder? Gawd Damn

You know he must like us if he has no problems with us working around his Corvette.

Need something to do with the 160 10" drivers I have, and they just scream OB project to me. Will probably end up building garage speakers too out of them. I am really looking forward to having a garage to piddle around in. Its just a shame I don't get the keys to the landlords '66 Vette that is going to occupy the other side of the garage.
