Then again I'm not so it doesn't really matter

If I was on the team I would highly advise leaving the transmission alone unless you have the resources to buying multiple ones.

If you want to save weight. Run the calculations and do testing to see how much steel you need in the suspension and frame. Test the crap out if it. Are what breaks and what doesn't. What doesn't take material out of and need up what does break. Find a happy medium in there that you can live with. Use heat treated chrome moly frame. Not just chromemoly get someone who can actually weld and make that frame as light as possible.

If you want to shave weight off of the car do it someplace else then grinding on the transmission.

Unless it is fried catfish around here I will stick to something that walks on land till I find a place that actually has good fish.
-
And the piece goes snap as I break yet another specimen.
-
My ass needs more padding to sit in a chair this long.
-
I'm lost when you guys start talking about fish.
-
Just go for whatever one works best for you. It is one damn pound, it will be fine.
-
Now is that total unit weight or rotating internals weight? Either way I say you are putting way to much work into pissing into the wind on figuring that.
-
I don't think it matters a damn bit for what you are doing.

I don't want school to start again.
-
Looking like another twelve to fourteen hour day again today.
-
x2, i don't think the a .17 hmr neck is going to hold the pressure levels generated in a bmg case for some reason... It's a photo chop, can't believe anyone would spend the time/effort/money to actually do that.

Just downright 'Bitchin Tom.
-
I need more hours in a day. Thirty hour days would work for me.
-
Phone posting ftw.

Once this next check comes in time to start work on my .45. New sights melted into the slide, trigger work, grip work, and are what I can find for a longer barrel to thread.
-
Always interesting when stuff breaks when it isn't supposed to.
-
Testing again. Bitching sunset here tonight too.
-
Once you posted them they were public domain unless otherwise stated as far as I know.

The theory isn't correct, although it may seem like it works for you, it isn't the way it happens.

And all Engineering majors should learn how a fucking car works, a little about how to fix them and not just remember what their friends told them while they were drunk and talking out their ass.
