Didn't buy much at the surplus sale, two carbide countersinks for 2$ and then 22lbs of .020 stainless sheeting and 22lbs of cp-3 titanium .070 sheets. About came home with a 3/8" titanium plate, but then I tried to figure out wtf I would do with the damn thing.... Wasn't sure.

But of course I have to wait on the woman to get ready before we can leave....

A 6" Wilton round ram vise would be nice too, but who knows....

Going to see what I can buy at the Spirit surplus sales here in Wichita... Be nice to find a couple of torque wrenches in inch pounds and some micrometers.

I wouldn't get that particular JET saw, haven't heard that many good things about them. Nothing bad but then again nothing really good. I'd probably go for the unisaw before the hybrid but both of those would be good saws.

Also, don't be sad about not getting the shop smith. I've never been impressed with them.

Sounds good Sean. One of the problems people staring out with DSLR's have is they just take photo after photo after photo without actually stopping to realize wtf is going on and why anything is changing (or not changing). I doubt you will be one of those people though. Just keep at 'er and you'll get it figured out. It took me a couple of years with manual film to be able to manipulate the controls to get what I wanted in odd scenarios.

Bah. Real cameras don't need a computer. *still loves his old school film*
