so the setup i have decided on will be 1 15" btl running on a sundown 2000. mids and highs will be alphasonik pct6551 3-way components running on a sundown 100.4 bridged. i think the big 3 upgrade with 0 ga and a kinetik 2400 added, the electrical should be sufficient.

that makes sense, thanks for the help

my friend just doesn't think that i can get the sound that i am looking for off of one speaker, but then again he's never heard of fi. will these speakers really get that loud from just one speaker?
-
not more than 1500 for subs and amps.
-
that's why i was looking at the audioque 2200, i thought they were good amps.
-
what would you consider a nicer amplifier for one btl?
-
well i have actually come to realizations about my system after talking to a buddy of mine and i think i know what i want now. i am willing to spend the dough to make it happen. this way i won't have to worry about going through a bunch more stuff before i get to where i want. i was thinking of getting 2 12" Fi BTL's with an Audioque 2200D for each subwoofer. now i have seen poeple running the Audioque 3500D on the 12" BTL, but didn't know if that was for daily driving or not, cause this will be, so i was wondering if the 2200 would be enough. also curious about what the best enclosure would be for this setup.

sorry, blonde moment, i thought you were talking about the box that i was looking at for the 15's setup and then i realized you all don't know what that is. it is a prebuilt box, but i don;t like that idea anymore anyways.
-
ok, all that makes sense, thank you. the setup i had before was 4 12's, 2 facing the seats and 2 facing the rear with all the amps and what not mounted on a board on top of the enclosure. i realize now that it was not the best setup and it was a little cramped, but even with 4 12's in a sealed box, i wanted it much louder. maybe you guys could steer me towards a couple brands in my price range and needs.
-
that box is not 10 cu ft and i do have room for the box.
-
do you have any suggestions
-
well i have already had 4 12's in the trunk with some room to spare. the max size for the box would be 36x36x16. as far as comparing sealed and ported, i didn't know if the difference between sealed and ported would compensate for the difference between 4 woofers and 1 woofer (if that makes any sense). i would like to stay under 700 for the subs and amp, i recently moved my system into my other vehicle so i am starting fresh.

i did some designs of what i think it will look like from the outside, what do you think?
-
so i was originally going to go with a blowthrough design, but have been reading other build logs and posts and came up with a new design. don't quite know if it is still a blowthrough design or not, but this is what i got. the plan is to take out the rear window of the truck, seal it with the rubber boot replacement to this enclosure in the bed of the truck. the view that you see is what will be facing the cab of the truck. the bottom wall under the space for the rear window should come up to the line above where it says 'KonFUSEed', the rest will be open. i was thinking of getting a piece of plastic trim to go around the outside and still doing the bottom half in bedliner and painting the top half to match the truck. the hole in the middle will be a plexiglass window so i can still see behind me. let me know what you think.

that sounds cool, thanks for the ideas.

i am going to be powering an Audioque 4X90 and an Audioque 2200D, was wondering if the planned electrical upgrades would be sufficient enough. Kinetik HC1800 up front and another Kinetik HC1800 in the back Knukonceptz KonFused +/- Battery Terminals for both batteries 1/0 ga welder's cable for big 3 upgrade 1/0 ga welder's cable for power/ground run from front to back 1/0 ga welder's cable for 2200D 4 ga welder's cable for 4X90 Knukonceptz KonFUSED High Current In-Line Fuse Holders ran after second battery in rear, 3x 30A fuses for the 4X90 and 3x 100A fuses for the 2200D 8 ga wire for the subs 10 ga wire for the components haven't decided if i will need a h.o. alternator or not, what do you think? -

chevy c1500 and i believe the stock alternator is 100A this is a daily driver setup -
i have a couple more questions about my setup. first, how would you all run the wires from the battery in front to the one in back? i was thinking maybe just drilling through the bed and using some rubber grommets, any better ideas? second is how would you run the wiring for the amps to hide it well? i was thinking of drilling holes and running the wires behind the whole enclosure, then attaching 1x2's around the edges and place another board over the back with the wires running in between the gap of the back two pieces, any better ideas?
-
i see what your saying, didn't think about that. but i did figure out that i had enough room to just mount them on the back. i think this might work better.
-
cool, thank you

i just finished downgrading my system in preparation to sell my car and i just wanted to check and make sure i had everything setup correctly i am running an older pioneer hu, planet audio 6.5" torq speakers in the doors and rear deck, an eclipse 10" single 4-ohm subwoofer, and an american pro bass machine 800w 4-ch amplifier i am running the amp in 3-ch mode with the pa speakers running in parallel, then in series, i wanted to verify i did this correctly. i ran the left front and rear speakers with a positive from one and a negative from the other hooked together, same with the right front and rear. then i hooked the remaining positives together and the remaining negatives together. i was going for a 4-ohm load.
