so from what some of you are saying the power of my amp probably couldnt ruine my woofer even if the gains were set up wrong.... for the most part. the woofer never really got warmed up with that amp and iv never smelled that "bad smell" on this woofer yet either.... it's been a very good woofer to me. was it just a matter of the glue giving away, at no ones falt (either mine or the company)? for the record my bass did not sound distorted in any way from my ear and pretty sure all my settings on the amp were at an exceptable lvl . thanks for all your input it helps alot. as of this moment i am waiting on a quote from PSI for a recone. would you guys go with a Fi recone or PSI, just wondering.

i have bass boost on 0 and subwoofer lvl volume on the h/u is 0 along with bass and treble. so what you are saying is i had my volume on the h/u too high for the gain i had set on the amp. dose that mean my amp clipped then and cooked the coil? what would be the best way about going to get my h/u volume and amp gain in sync together?

The sub was pulled out the box no wire attached when i checked with a DMM, i just switched it to ohms it was going up and down quite a bit but mostly stayed at about 13.0 k on the meter. i think it was my head unit that cliped it then , 30 outta 35 max volme is too much i guess ... well atleast i learned at about when my cd player clips. it cost me a recone but now i will adjust my system and probably wont go over 25 volume on the head unit....

so would could be the reason that my coils gave out so i can fix this issue and i wont have this happen again when i recone. also when it crapped out on me i was playing at low volume and my sub was bearly getting enough power to more the cone when it since it was midnight and i didnt want another ticket! lol..

my system consists of: H/u Alpine Cde-105 Amp: cheep Budget Power Acustik 3000db Enclosure: homemade 3.5cubes tuned to 31ish electrical. completly stock , one alt one batt i put a Dmm to the each coil lead one was reading at 12k- 15k the other was reading infinite

hey guys i need some help. i have a FI BL 15 fully loaded for daily for over a year now, never been pushed to it limit, running on about 1200watts, never turned the gain on the amp past the 75% ish mark and never had the receiver on max volume. it seems that some of the coppering windeings around the coil may have slightly seperated. the copper coil itself looks like brand new still not scorched at all from what i can see. i get no audio at all of the woofer , its just completly dead... : ( i loved that woofer too is there any reason y that would happen..? are there maybe any cheep fixes because unfortunatly i dont have the money to get a replacement at the moment. thanks

ok ill check those places. im almost positive im not gettin 13v.... if im lucky its probably at between 11.7- 12.3v at full load i had a system that was half as powerful with 2 12's in my old saturn SL2 its average was 11.5v at full load Im also thinking on dumping the PA 3000DB amp for a soundstream tarantula 2000w amp, just cuz the wattage will match what my sub can put out and i hope it will make sound quality better n more efficient

its an 2001 chevy malibu. i also was wondering about a sub box i saw, what is that one type of box that has a external 8 sided port called. i saw one at a bass show and for a smaller kinda box put out some big numbers thanks R3ap3R

hello, i have a couple questions about my setup. first thing is i have a cd player, an alpine cda-105 its a 2v rca out. now my question is would the alpine power pack that give 4+ volts through the RCA make my sub louder or increase performance in any way?? also i would like to kno if i should upgrade my electrical and if so what would you guys recommend to bring all my products to there full potential.. hes my setup , nothing special cd player : alpine cda-105 speakers : alpine type S all around amp : Power acoustik 3000DB Sub : Fi audio BL 15 fully loaded in i believe 3.5 cub. with a 31hz tune roughly wire : all monster cable , 0g power/ground & RCA thats about it , thanks for your time R3ap3R

the external dimensions are 36 x 18 x 18 the port is 3.5" wide and should be 16.5" tall

Now these are all internal dimensions, right? all measurement are in inches

Hello, im making a box for my 15" Fi BL its gonna be 36 x 18 x 18 4.7 ft3 @ 30.5hrz daily driver just looking for some ground shaking fun : ) will this be a good box for that woofer?

i ordered my 15" BL a little over a month ago maybe 2 and it got to my house in about 8days from ordering it..... i was very pleased with how fast it came considering they hand build them when u order it thanks FI audio!!! there packaging was kinda cheep but who cares it kept it safe. its like that was song we all probably herd when we were kids. Good things come in shi*ty packages... or was that small... lol

Hi yea i just got my 15" BL.... Thank you Fi Audio for a nice and fast delivery.... Now my question is, for anyone who owns one of these u kno how heavy that thing is so i wanna kno what kinda screws should i use or bolts, i dont wanna use basic screws i feel that this sub will just break them like toothpicks.... I cant wait to hear this bad boy in action Thanks
