I looking at getting 2-12's. I'm going to put them in my son's car 2000 grand am gt. Trunk space I have to work with is, 37w x 15h x 18d. Could I fit a dual ported box in there? And could you design a box that would fit and give me the plans so I could build it. Very interested in buying 2 if I could get box to fit. I will buy today if this would be possible. Thanks for any ideas.

Really don't want to take up entire trunk space with build. But thanks anyway, any more ideas. Just looking for a simple slot ported box that i can build on my own without too much trouble.

I currently own a 2000 Pontiac grand am gt. the dimensions i could easily fit in my trunk would be 18x12x38. Could you help me design a box for a SA-15 within those dimensions. Need design specifics and/or cut sheets. I was thinking about going with two tens or two twelves but i don't think the space will allow me to do it, any ideas?? But definitely going with SA subs no matter what. Don't have amp yet but will match amp to subs regardless. Please Help

Loud with quality. Will be driven everyday. As cheap as possible still maintaining quality. Listen mainly to rap and a little rock music.

This box will go in the back seat area of a 99 silverado 3 door. What would be the best design and $ ? 2- SA 15's. Seat is removed now. music taste rap, metal, rock.

I would like the kerffed port. subs flushed, 24 in on height. Something a little fancy. I don't what my options are. I doesn't have to take up all the space back there , just box that will perform well in truck and optimum specs for subs.

Max dimensions should be no problem with seat out. Music taste rap , metal, rock. Hope this helps.

I just cant see the dcon's being better than the T1's. That's half the power handling. I don't think I'll go that way.

I looking at putting 4 sa 8's under seat in 99 silverado. I have 2 10's RF T1d4's in there right now in sealed box. Would I gain anything by putting 4 8's in there? I'm running a RF T10001 at 1 ohms . I would probably need more power but if it won't improve or get louder then I'll just keep what I have. I have about 2 cu ft of air space I think , it may be a little more. Just need some opinions. Thanks

So you think the dcon's are better than the RF T1's. Those are only 300rms what I have is 600 a piece.

What tens would be better, if I decide to go that way. They would have to work well in a sealed box. I can get another amp if I need to upgrade to match the sub you recommend.

I have a 99 Siverado LT 5.3. I upgraded big 3, 220 amp alternator, 2 extra kinetik 1800's, running 0 ga wire. I only have a rockford T10001bd,pushing 2 T110's, and a rockford T600-4 running MB quarts 5.25 in kick panel and 6.5 mid bass in doors. Lights still dim when bass hits going down the road. I don't know what else to upgrade to get it to stop. All grounds seem to be good. I was looking to upgrade, that's the reason for 2 kinetiks, but if lights dim with what I have it will go black if I upgrade. Any help on what could be going on. Thanks

I'm looking into getting a 300 amp alt now. Just don't know who to get it from. I'm researching now. I'll check grounds again today. I still don't think it should dim with what I have. I'll keep checking. Thanks for help. -

I'll check grounds again in the morning. I'll take loose and make sure everything is cleaned. -
Thanks for replies. I would love to go ported , I've never had a ported sub. But I think I'll just keep it simple and just go sealed. If anybody would give me a design for 1 -12 ported with the space I have I'll build the box myself. 9.5"h x 41W x 16D. I would have to fire sub up to rear deck. If not I'll just go sealed as usual.

I'm looking at putting 2 sealed 12's or 1 ported 12 in the space under rear deck in Lincoln town car. The space is available is 41"W x 10 in H x 16in D. If ported is the way to go I'm going to have to the shop to build it unless you can give me plans to do so. I hate to spend $450 on box. I can do the sealed. Is it recommended to have each sub in it's own chamber(for sealed), or can you just use the whole box for both. Just want to sound good on all types of music. (metal, rap, plain rock, ect.) Any more info needed let me know. Haven't bought amp yet so will buy accordingly. Appreciate any help. I'm open to different subs, especially if they were cheaper and sound good. Leave more room for amp. Or are more in line with application that I'm trying to do.
-
I would not know how to port it up through the deck. As I said I really don't trust the shops here to do it right. And at 450 to 500 bucks I want it right. I guess I will just go sealed.
-
Town car cartier, I pretty sure it has a sub in back. I thought it was a 6" , but I don't know. I will look into that. I really don't trust the shops around here to do something like that. Had too many bad experiences with both. I live in Danville VA.
-
I'd rather keep the sub and box and ports in the trunk. Would I have to put baffles under my rear speakers too since they're open to trunk. Or would that really matter.
-
I guess I would have to fire sub up to the deck, which way for port? would firing the port to the side or back be that big of deal? Can anybody come up with box design i could use.

Installing subs in 99 3door siverado under back seat
rak_24540 posted a topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Right now I have 2 RF T110D4's in sealed box fiberglassed to floor under back seat. I want to up grade to get it a little louder and sound better. The box now is about 1.9cuft I think. I will tear this out of course for new box. Is there anyway to jack up the seat brackets a couple of inches to allow more volume to the box? And still make it look good, and functional. I've always wanted 12's but was told they wouldn't fit. Is there any way I can get better option's with leaving the seat back there? My amp right now is a RF T10001 power series. I will upgrade that if I need too. Is there any customizations I can do to allow me to get some good quality 12's under the back seat? I only have 2 shops in my area, one say's its not a way, one says that he might be able to get those 10's in a ported box under the seat, but he was going to charge me $500 to try to build it and don't know if its going to work. I'm not going to spend $500 and it not work. So any suggestion will be appreciated
