Yeah well it's kinda my fault based on previous mods. I lowered the motor an inch and installed the aftermarket powersteering pump. I can only find the rebuild the rebuild kits on eBay and no vids on the tube...which I think says something. The cost of the kit makes a Holley or Edelbrock HO one look pretty smart. As far as electric fuel pumps, I've had a different MO on every vehicle I've ever owned. The last one I ran electric was my blazer. I had a 200amp alt and beefy battery. I ran everything I could electric on that ride as part of the MO. I guess it's the electrical nerd in me. This car came with the Holley pump, so was trying to take it as an omen. Lol ALL that said I think I'll chew on it a day and probably buy the Edelbrock or Holley mechanical.

I plan on pulling the pump apart and making sure it's not worn beyond repair or broken, before getting a kit.

Getting ready to hit the buy it now button and read a review about the pump being longer. The Carter and all other replacements I can find are the crimped together style. They measure an inch longer than the original and hit the swaybar. It's a no go. Sooo scrap that idea. While measuring the original, I noticed it is the bolt together rebuildable type. My question for you Ryan is have you ever rebuilt one? If so anything I should know or look out for while rebuilding or sourcing a rebuild kit?

I get the key switch installed on the Mustang, and the fugging mechanical fuel pump died. The neighbor gives me a new pump in the box, thats for a 302. I think we are cleaver until I get it installed. All but done and realize the damn thing is hitting the aftermarket steering pump bracket. I have a brand new Holley blue electric pump I was going to install. I start looking for a mounting point below the tank and see I will need to build a bracket. Not that big of deal. The regulator needs mounted near the carb, again no major worries. I had a Carter vain style pump on my Beast and it never failed me once. Then again I could buy a replacement mechanical pump and install it in a half hour and be done with it. Perhaps buy a mechanical Holley or Edelbrock. My question for you wrench heads is any experience with the Holley electric pump? Experience with either name brand mechanical pump? Or should I just get a good factory replacement? Fuel pressure was always good at 7 psi with the original pump. As much as I love modifying stuff, I'm trying to think of the point of diminishing returns.

I ended up doing about 10 hours at 250 degrees or so, for a 4lb hunk of meat. Final meat temp was 155, which it reached and sat at for about 4hrs. Was dinner for guests and they couldn't get enough, so I'm happy. Was the corned beef kind, so that biotch was salty AF. Hehe

IF you want to move some inventory during the economically slow session of the year, then he'll yeah it's a good idea!! Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to grab some....As much as I personally would love a set.

I couldn't agree more. Had a 5000S back in the 90's and hated every minute. Left me stranded more than a few times and had ridiculous parts cost.

The DD was broke so was kinda forced into it, which ended up being a bug on the MAF sensor I hope. Then decided to jump on the mustang while I had the wind beneath my wings. Also checked my tweeters and amp in the DD, to see which shit the bed. Of course was the tweets which brought me here. Lol

Went to drive the Mustang yesterday and the key switch got stuck on with the car running. Thankfully I have a new switch and key tumbler in hand to install. So upside down under a dash is where I'll be for the next 30 minutes.

I just picked up a pair of polarized Oakley gascans on eBay for around 60. I seen a few pairs going cheaper, but I had to have the gray ones once I saw them. Was bummed I lost my last pair in the lake a few weeks ago paddle boarding. Time for a floaty thingy to hook on them.

3m Super 77 works well. If it's really being finicky try 3m 08008, shit is insane.
