What’s everybody cooking for meat this Thanksgiving? I am going to smoke a turkey and probably a pork butt.

Limping like a wounded animal today. Had the other knee/thigh tattooed this last week. Had to order a breakfast of champions this morning, hold the beer.

I’d find a spot in the trunk/bottom of the car that you can feel both sides at the same time with each hand. That’s the spot! You won’t even need a helper to put the nut on. I suspect the grounds under the hood are mostly at fault at this point. Sounds like the ground in the trunk is at least satisfactory. The battery ground to engine/battery ground to body/amp to body. Those are the ONLY control points. If those are done, the amp ground is basically “independent” from the car ground so to speak. Make sure to use the same size wire for all grounds. So if your amp uses 0ga, use 0ga for the under hood grounds. Reconnect the factory ground to the battery also. VOILÀ!!

Who knows what a microphone would say though.

Has been an eargasmic week! Running these in a 2.5 config, with both woof's playing to 50hz and the bottom guy playing up to 400hz. The mid being sealed. Got lucky I think with this combo, with phase tracking etc. ONly had to match the levels and set the x-overs. Still have yet to need any eq'ing, even after plowing through the same half a dozen cd's I've been tuning with for the last year! lol

Sounds like you are on the right track. My suggestion would be replace your battery terminals first. Then run a new ground from the battery to the engine block, and another ground to the body. Would probably reconnect the factory ground to the battery also. If you don't want to fork for fancy terminals that except multiple large wires, then use an RV/boat style terminal. Other than that, get a wire wheel for your drill and buff all ground connection points to shiny bare metal. That includes any factory ground points also. As far as grounding in the trunk. I would drill a hole all the way through the trunk floor. Somewhere you can get to from the outside also. Then use a bolt with a lock nut on the underside. Let me know if you need pics.

Same goes for the college question. Goes back to who you know imo. As in half the people I know that went to college do not work in the feild they went for. But they do have their current job because of connections they made either in college, or starting in the initial field.

I don’t know dick about photography though.

I think it’s more who and what you know Jordan. The right connections, the right people on staff and knowledge of the demographics of the area. Since you have visited here, its a good example. There is such a high density of tourists and rich people, that there are stores that would never thrive in such a small community elsewhere. They will pay for convenience all day long AND to be stroked off by a real person. Just my 2 cents.

No offence dude. But have you tried any online calculators? http://www.mh-audio.nl/Bandpass.asp http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=32 THose where just the first two that popped up on google... with the search term "sixth-order bandpass subwoofer enclosure design calculator" I'm definitely one of those guys that when others say "why?", I say why not!" So I'm all for you giving it a crack. I've never done a 6th order, but have played with 4th's. Was hard not to if you where around in the 90's. lol -
Good luck with the job Matt!!
