I think we will all be stuck soul searching for happiness until the day we die.

Thats funny you put it that way, I just realized I am in love with the technical side of car audio. Thanks. Impious is a great guy to get tech advice from, that I know I can trust. Some days I feel like I am in kindergarten though.

Feel pretty good about the body, not sure about how the aftermarket body kit is goin to turn out. Most fiberglass stuff is so wavy No big wing, but lots O lights! I am sure you guys will get everything installed SO that its "good enough for the girls your son know's". back at ya.

Yeah, I started posting here because I figured the 3 other SQ guys here needed a new playmate... well, and because Aaron asked nicely. Glad your here!! Thx for coming aboard.

I am just about to pony up and get a new pair. I might resole but the sides are looking rough. I put my redwings through pure hell. Mine are about 8 years old? I wore them Hod-Carrying SO I was pretty happy with 5 years. what's hod carrying? Hod-carrier is term used for a Masons helper. A Hod is a tool that is used to carry bricks and mortor UP ladders. I never actually carried a Hod, I drove forklift instead. It was the hardest working job I ever had and is the reason I was 250 lbs by age 21, I was a MULE BABY.

over 15 year difference isn't it? Things just keep getting better. But it doesn't have an ///M on it so boo to him. Just a mere imitation of the v10 greatness. Thank goodness my 97 ford has nearly the same skillz as the new ones! I think it looks better too. NOW I REALLY need to go test drive some of these beauty's. My wife says she will buy me a BM'er BUT I took a rain check until I start my mid-life crisis. ANYONE know what age I might start my midlife crisis????? I'm 28 and in wifey appeals court right now. I told her I need to leave my job start an organic help clothing line and coffee shop, realign my chakras with the earth mother, and buy a car with a bull or a horsey on it. How much have you got done? that sounds more like a change of life to me. I left my first wife 13 years ago, thank GOD.

Everything looks good as usual!! The body work looks clean from what I can see. Nothing like a big wing with lights to set you apart from the crowd.

These trucks came from the factory with a 4 inch lift, they where refered to as a HI-boy. The HI-boy was only offered in 3/4 ton and up, from '67 to 77'.

Interestingly enough every one I know that currently owns those hates them in the snow. Now perhaps they went too wide so it looked cooler and it wasn't tall so it was floating. Not sure. I had a pair on a truck when I worked for the state(the state didn't spend that money but somehow they were on the fvkkin truck) and in everything else they worked great. In snow, it sucked big. A buddy of mine who plows tried them out too and he was dissapointed. I thought they would be great for snow but for some reason everyone I know has had issues with them and would rather be in a road tire or mild AT tire. These are very grippy tires and even took alittle getting use to on the dry pavement, BUT they DO stick to the road. Over grappy if anything. I have them on my Xterra Also, which has more weight in the rear than a truck SO THEY handle pretty good in my case. I am sure there is problably a better tire out there for the snow, BUT these are still worth every penny.

Beautiful work as always Jacob.

Sounds like my daughter and her friend this weekend. I guess its my job to teach her the respect.

The last pair of Redwing boots I owned lasted me over 5 years.

I like the BF Goodrich TA K/O's. They wear like iron and have a ton of leading edge's, Which I would say is the most important on wet and snowy roads for suction.

Help choosing a 10 inch midbass driver.

So in other words I need to figure out the Vb of the door. How accurate do I need to get with the Vb? I can get pretty close with pulling numbers and OR I can stuff the door full of packing peanuts and measure their volume to get even closer. Anyone have any other great ideas? -

What is the correct equation for calculating qtc? Better yet does anyone have a link to a caculator that I should be using, all the ones I googled ask for different t/s numbers and come up with different awnsers. I looked at the Peerless and think it would make a good candidate for testing based on the high VAS and low FS? The specs don't show XMAX but I came up with 18mm, using the following math. VC lenght minus height of gap. Is this correct? Also they will handle 200watts RMS. -
2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 "Classic" - Bass without blowthrough

It's a bit of a pain with the way the voltage monitoring is setup. It is through a device near the battery on the ground wire that goes to the battery, which manages the current flow and then controls the alternators output. Not as simple as just running a big 3, though many people do that with no acknowledgement of the voltage monitoring device.Oh well. They will learn sooner or later when their alternators are way overcharging their back batteries because it senses that the front one is having a great deal of current drained from it So what is your solution to the problem? On my honda the ECU shuts off the alternator when it senses a drop in power demand, not really a problem though on the HOnda concidering when the volume is cranked, the alternator is definetly feeling a draw. -

Thanks buddy.I'm a huge believer of doing things right the first time and building my setups to last so you never have to go back in to fix anything. I see you have a 2nd gen Xterra in your sig.I have an '05 SE.Have you done anything to yours?Believe it or not, you can fit 16 12s in the back and still keep the back seats.Ask me how I know The Xterra is the Wifeys car........for now. ITS starting to show it's age though!! SO maybe when she gets something new I will turn the Xterra into an SPL beast since I already have an SQ car. Doesn't sound like I need to ask about the 16 12s. I will remember that.
