  1. March 2nd 2009?? Not to call anyone out here but I have emailed DC Power twice a week ago with no response. I recommend calling also. You will be able to discuss all the details ALOT EASIER over the phone, than back and forth and back and forth and back and forth with an email to talk about the details. DC Power has ALWAYS anwsered my phone calls, ALWAYS.

Sounds like fun, my son is envious. I will admit I am starting to feel my age, I got my ass beat at the Gwar show earlier this year. And yes I have floor tickets for this show, SO I will remember to eat my Wheaties. I have a lot of respect for the older guys who will hang with the kids on the floor at shows, it gets pretty hairy sometimes. Ya mosh pits can get pretty crazy. One of my buddies broke somebodies noes in one lol I need to go see another good concert The only rough part for me is when surfers go over head they whack my head and strain my neck. Otherwise my elbows win. I am taking the W so things should be...... interesting. Hehe. I am usaully good until I get knocked on one of my hips, then its Game Over for the night. The last time I was surfing I must of kicked someone in the head cause they grabbed my balls and squeezed REAL HARD to let me know it.

I think the first show I ever seen there was Blues Travelers on 4th of july like 15 yrs ago. Blues Traveler still plays every year on the 3rd and 4th of july. The acoustics of the natural amphitheater is amazing. I have been to shows where I was watching a thunder storm over Denver and a concert at the same time. EPIC!!!

Ideas for your doors or mine? I got an airbrush kit traded to me this year from a friend. I have never airbrushed before, but will be giving it a try. I have been a Custom Tattoo Artist for 17+ yrs so I should be good, just a different medium of art. I am planning on painting a city skyline along the bottom of the door and music notes flowing out of the speaker. I will do some ghost skulls or something in powder grey behind everything and then clear coat with Acyrlic or Lauquer. Should look EXTRA sweet!! or thats the idea anyways.

How is this battery for my setup

You could upgrade the alternator and you might be good with just one battery, depending on your listening habits. Do you listen heavy when sitting and idling or just when driving?

The Gwar pit was fun other than once the concrete floor got wet from the fake blood/kool-aid it got WAAAAAy to slick. Still not as krazy as moshing at Red Rocks Amphitheater to Pantera and White Zombie back in the day. You can see Denver skyline in the back ground.

Thanks for your thoughts. I am intrerested in the Leviathan to replace my Alpine MRP-F600 and Rockford 400.a4. The Leviathan would give me alot of headroom and dynamics for my needs. I have read about the volume upon start up thing, what else sends the amp into protect? Do you use this amp for long periods of time? has it ever overheated? do you have it mounted flat or sideways?

    Anyone into Yoga?

I have been thinking about trying yoga for the same reason. Life seems to get me pretty wound up sometimes, and I was thinking of the calming factor. (the yoga girls are a bonus) Otherwise good diet and exercise will always help the natural dopamines. I aslo smoke medical Marijuana, and will add that some strains will make your anxiety worse.

You could paint eveything white and then clear coat it, that would look clean. This time around on my doors, I plan on first painting with a matching interior colored base coat, and then I am going to airbrush some artwork on the doors and clear coat them.

    Welcome to the IHoP

They look like they would preform like the BF's. They have lots of siping and leading edges SO I am sure they are SUPER grippy on the pavement. BTW they look KILLER!! Edit: are those Mickey thompsom wheels?

  24. I cooked the voice coil in one of my Aura 10 inch midbass drivers So now I need to replace them with something more heavy duty. http://www.madisound.com/catalog/PDF/aurasound/NS10-513-4A.pdf I know the t/s parameters should tell me which driver should be a good candidate but don't understand all of them to the fullest yet, SO this is where I am asking for help. The Drivers will be mounted in my doors IB and will be getting 300 watts RMS. They will be bandpassed 50hz to 400hz, give or take whatever it takes to blend them. Based on my installation I ASSUME that I need a driver with a total Q value of around .35? I ASSUME that because I burnt the voice coil in the Aura I should get a driver that can handle a higher RMS for my long term abuse. I ASSUME that if I get a driver with a RMS of 500 watts and only feed it 300 rms long term that I will NOT burn it up as long as the signal is FLAT? The third factor I ASSUME I should look at is sensitivity? I KNOW that this is a BAD thing to compare drivers by ALONE but still think its important. The LAST THING I ASSUME plays a big factor is the Frequency Response of the driver? I ASSUME that I am TRYING TO COMPENSATE for a POOR FR curve by turning up the volume to hear certain frequencys that are lacking? I ASSUME this played a big part in me destroying the other driver, is why I bring this up also. I DON'T know per say what FR curve I am after due to my lack of experience, BUT ASSUME it wasn't what I had with the Auras? I may need a better EQ or a better tuning ear, one or the other or BOTH? My budget is 400 dollars for two 10" drivers. I am interested in the Daber Audio 10's for the following reasons, RMS rating, QTS of .35, and a sensitivity of 88. I ASSUME the MOST important thing for my install is going to be thermal power handling, a.k.a. RMS? SO PLEASE HELP me get the correct driver for my application. My budget is 400 dollars for the drivers.
