Sounds like you overheated the cheese. Only take a couple minutes max. I've never seen it get rubbery before. Ok, 2 things I think happened. Too hot too fast, and maybe just too hot completely. I will also say that half and half isn't cream. It always causes separation for us when we use it in our world famous cheezey taterz. I have a guess on why. I think that the fat and proteins in cream work better together with the higher fat and much lower water content of better cheeses. When we use crappy cheese we can make a cohesive sauce with skim milk, but it takes mountains more cheese to make the flavor acceptable. When we used really good cheese with a dryer texture that has set up better and is more"crumbly" if we use anything other than cream we get a this weird lquid that's gross, oil, and gummy proteins that taste kind of like cheese. In the end it's probably healthier too as we use less cheese and less cream and get a better result that tastes better. I have about half of the block of Reggiano left. I will try again with cream and will have my noodle's atleast al dente before I start the sauce this time. Everything was going good at first, so i definetly think I cooked it to long and alittle to hot. the Half and Half is what I had, so I used it. I will report back.

is 6.59cubes to much mor a 15" Xcon?

The manufacturer's recommended enclosure sizes are going to be optimal. Most give mininum and maximum, outside of that range is not going to improve anything. As I told you in the other thread, pick a sub and contact a box biulder or designer and tell them your goals. The 4 cu ft will be optimal for sounding good. Smaller will get peakier sounding. The next thing to realize is that a ported enclosure will include the volume of the port, sub and building material, so a 4cu ft box will be more like 5-5.5cu ft after port, sub, and building material volume is added to that 4cu ft internal volume.

There is no single box with only a single variable. This Is an easy puzzle to solve by starting in one of squares with only 2 empty boxes, and playing from there. If the puzzle didn't work out, then switch your two starting numbers. You will play the puzzle twice at worst. I used the numbers 3 and 4 in the bottom right square, but you could start elsewhere. Where did you get the original puzzle? Yep, I did what you said and it checks out. I was playing the puzzle at my phone. I wuv Sudoku.
  10. The Nightshade will sound good if you set it up right, and is made to handle abuse. A one note fart cannon refers to building the enclosure to peak out really hard at one frequency, for competion. This style of box won't sound good with music. The prefab boxes are usaully tuned alittle high, and every subwoofer needs different enclosure specs to sound good and still get "loud". I suggest picking the sub and getting an enclosure built to that subs specs based on your needs. You can contact custom box builders on this forum that will help you meet your goals. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/forum/91-argent-audio/
  11. No audibe difference with either amp. The Kicker amp is a badass amp also, so don't let people's internet or forum boner's for one particular brand fool you.

  13. Why waste money on a new amp if you already have one? Sounds like you anwsered your own question about the sub. Good Luck.

  15. all sub's are "loud" by nature. Some just sound better than others, while others may handle abuse better. SPL refer's to a one note fart cannon for competing, which I doubt is what you want? If you want loud, I would recommend a ported enclosure. If it where my money, I would buy either a SSA Xcon or a FI BL or BTL.

    Tire choices

I had Toyo Spectrum's before and they were way to soft for me. They did handle great, but I think they were bald in 20k miles. I think you would be way happier with an all-season's over a summer or touring tire based on what you described your needs were. Sounds like a General all season may be worth checking out.

    Tire choices

You shot me down on the Michelin's before I could even say it.lol. Out of the tire's you listed I would get the Continental's bc they are all-seasons and have better sipping.

  23. Components could definely be a good start to bring the sound stage up. They would allow you to play with tweeter placement to achieve better imaging.
