Battery hold downs

This is what I am using and was going to suggest. -
What are the benifits of a corned brisket?

looking sweet as usual! Are you going to truss the axle? Are you staying semi-float or going full-float? Your bender is an animal if it will bend .250 DOM! My JD2 will do .125 wall at best.
-
The guy I bought my front axle from had a suburban with the 6BT swapped in. It was gourgeous, to a gearhead anyways.
-
All the drivertrain in your trail-rig should hold up to the 454. Heck, the same drivetrain holds up to modified 6BT's and those are torque monsters. What gearbox would you use behind the 454 ? I am running a sm465. The 454 needs a new clutch so thats the biggest cost of swapping.

Tattoos are good therapy. New beginings I guess, or maybe the pain reminds you that your ALIVE!! You just need to make it to colorado this summer and let me give you some brotherly love.

SWEET!! time for another. I want fresh ink but have reached my limit without the wife getting a new one. I am hoping to hurt, er work on her tomarrow. That is epic! I generally smile ear to ear when I am working. People think I am grinning bc I am hurting them, but its bc I love my job. I would be lieing if I said I didn't make it hurt extra for a few ppl though.

My friend will swap me his 454 for my 327. He hates the gas mileage and the fact it eats drivetrain parts. it would be in my trail rig with 1-ton drivetrain so I am strongly concidering it.

I cooked my first brisket a month or so ago and it took 24 hrs. I thought it would ony take 12 and ended up eating it for lunch the next day also.

That would mean I would have time off to take. I think you work toooo much! I think we all work too much. I changed my schedule to 9-5, it was 1-9 and I can't seem to find any free time. Definetly ALOT more time with the family in the evenings though.

Broken case on 250XP. New Design in the works?
j-roadtatts replied to j-roadtatts's topic in DC Power Engineering
If the belt is squealing than its too loose. This go's with all alternators and belts for that matter. The other thing to add is once a belt has slipped enough, the belt and pulleys will become glazed and will continue to slip and squeal no matter how tight the belt is. -
The thread is to commemorate DC Power for standing behind thier product and honoring my warranty. DC Power makes a top notch product, and has good communication with thier customers. My story: I ordered and installed my 250xp alternator in march of this year. The bracket fit perfect and the wiring was a breeze thanks to the correct plug installed on the alt. No wiring adapter which is good in my book, because every extra connection is just one more place for a problems to occur. The belt that was included was the wrong size and one of the bolts was the wrong thread pitch and alittle on the short side. NEITHER wrong part was a big deal as I could get the correct parts locally and I also informed DC Power of the things I though needed changed for future kits. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago: I drive ALOT, I put a lot of miles on a car. I had put close to 15,000 miles on the alt since installed. The belt started to squeal when I started the car, which I can't stand. SO I went and bought a new belt and went to install it, and found the case had broke around the mounting ear. I swapped in my oem alternator and called DC to see what it was going to take to get it serviced. I was asked to return the alternator for a new case and bearing. I was unsure if the warranty would cover this, and couldn't be told a definite answer over the phone without them having the alternator to inspect. I am VERY PLEASED to say that DC Power reconized that the broken case was not from abuse and warrantied my alternator. So thanks again, Rob, Kyle, and Dave. AS anyone here on SSA knows I talk VERY highly of and recommend DC Power to everybody and will continue to do so.

Unless you are willing to turn your sub down to hear the midbass, don't bother.
